So now that my favorite character died a while ago, i feel a little… let's say without-an-idea. Yeah, that word-combo is good. Without an idea.

Whenever i have to start from the very first step, there is somekind of barricade infront of me with a letter: "Insert idea here." And then i say: "What? Let me play my game, goddamnit!" But how? With what character? And how could i involve my character into the CoA world without being a stereotype?

I would like to get some ideas from you people out there, but don't gimme boring stereotypes please.

      Thanks in advance.

      [Edit]You think i sound desperate? […] You're right.

The best idea when you have no ideas is to play, as it was named, a 'fluid character'. You are a boy, that just came to Arabel. Everything else is in the hands of the world around you. You're true neutral as many commoners, and wheter you become a villain, or a paladin, a thief or a law enforcer is in the hands of those that you will meet, those that will turn your blank canvas into a colourful painting.

I did pretty much that with a character of mine (Selsal Thervain) and it worked out pretty well - she'd go with whichever 'side' found her and invited her in first. It won't work every time but if you're stuck, it can help you along a bit.

              Romar: Moustached man of Tempus
Selsal Thervain: Sneaky shoot stab stab
              Morich Leonson: Grumpy old man
              Kyra De'syr: DeSchurr NPC

Or another round about, and maybe interesting way to role play someone without.. Lets say much thought. Play a char.. Who maybe just had arraived, and once he did. He hit his head to hard and lost his memory (something like that) and now you have a character that totally gets shaped how events see fit for him.

To get straight involved, read through the bulletin boad and choose a message that grabs you. Then read through the characterisation guides in the player resources forum and make a character that could oppose or be a minion for said post.

This way, you start the game with one likely friend or enemy, and therefore one story arc to follow. You can build from there.

Yeah, just play an easily influenced character, the first interesting person who seems to know what they're doing you bump into. Follow them around like shit on Velcro as an admirer, even if they don't want a lackey. It'll make for a fun time.

                    -Erza (Doom,Doooooooom!!!, DOOOOOOOOM!!!!!)
-Bleely Mibsybell (Doctor, Clocksmith, and Cook) [Went for a walk]
-Uluna Seril (Loremaster) [Gathering up some mold]
-Elrinen Danacia [Went to buy smokes but never came back]
