Ankheg
-
Gabriel enters the Library and politely asks about the history and biology of Ankhegs.. he also inquires if there have been any cases of people keeping the creatures as pets.
-
Ankhegs are considered pests and vermins on the roads, preying on merchant caravans and worse, eating cows, goats, and other livestock. They've always been a problem, but tend to lair in small groups in soft soil beneath the ground. The Librarian advises against keeping dangerous animals as pets, in the strongest terms possible.
