Faults and Vices
-
Indecisive.
A character who spends most of their time wondering what to do, when to do it, and how to do it. That is, if they ever figure out what it is. They are constantly reminded of the possibly fatal consequences if they take the wrong path.Clingy.
A character who develops feelings for a person or inanimate object and refuses to part with it, often showing violent passion or falling into near-suicidal depression when they are without their beloved.Oversensitive.
They seem to have an acute awareness of everything around them, and tend to either voice these feelings openly or write them down in their emo journal. If someone tells them off, they react negatively. If someone smiles at them, they believe that the other person has fallen in love with them. If a spider bites them, they feel the pain so much more than the average adventurer and tend to cry "I AM GOING TO DIE!"Attention Span of a fly.
This person seems to have difficulty concentrating on something for very long - a person, object, conversation, action, anything! They are easily distracted by shiny objects and flashing lights, often forgetting what they were doing and angering more serious characters with their inattentiveness.Highstrung.
Highly excitable and often very nervous, this character tends to fidget and twitch like a dying rabbit. They react quickly and leap to conclusions, often forgetting that they have a brain which is capable of thinking.Gossipy
Eraamion and Relonor are fine examples of this type of character - one who cannot help but spread juicy rumours about the intimate encounters of certain court members. Even if they don't believe what they hear, they still chat about it to anyone who will listen. Incapable of keeping secrets and untrusted by many.Nervous around people and a poor communicator.
Brave and focused in battle with sword or magic, social encounters seem to be a far greater, more frightening challenge. They are awkward creatures at best, sullen, unsociable bastards at worst - the one thing that defines them is their inability to converse properly with other people. They either end up stuttering or saying the wrong thing or confusing the idiots who don't understand academic genius.Naggy.
Basically, a CoA personafication of your mum or wife or older sister. They are constantly on someone's back - asking questions or reminding them of all the things they should've done three days before you even knew you had to do it. Do not seem aware of their fault, and most do it out of the goodness of their heart with a smile on their face.Perfectionist.
Detail, detail, detail. This person is obsessed with getting everything right. If its not right, then the world is at end. Tends to stress out over the smallest of matters, often relieving others of their tasks if they believe they can accomplish it faster and better.Confused.
Everything is so baffling - they have no idea what is going on and who anyone is. They take things one simple step at a time - if given too much information to process or are forced to juggle too many tasks, life becomes overly complicated and their mind slips into a drool-worthy blank. Lists may help them cope somewhat, but many of these lost souls don't know how to hold a pen, let alone know what its used for.Whiny
Annoying, frustrating creatures filled with a baffling desire to cause hell for everyone else with their constant complaining and utter disregard for the power of silence. They find fault with everything, are often tired after the first two minutes of adventuring and even the slightest of bruises will have them crying to their mummy asking for a sticking plaster and maybe candy. Characters like this are fun, players are not. -
Heres a pair of relgious themed ones from me!
Highly devoted
Your character keep so close to part of your dieties dogma, that it will overwelm reason nine times out of ten. Your tendercy to overfocus on a small part of your dieties dogma, sometimes leads you to acturly missing the main message of said diety…
Somewhat hertical
Your character follows a diety…. but your understanding of how to put this faith into practice is very diffrent from most followers. Prehaps you name the diety something different and have a few lines of dogma that are different (if only slightly), reguardless the nature of your faith may lead to arguments.

Failed Casanova:
This overly confident male character thinks he is the most desirable thing among the opposite gender. He spends days to practice his pick-up lines in front of the mirror to be used in the market or the baths, where he spends most of his time to hunt women. "You have a nice body, would you hold it against me?" "What´s your sign? Dangerous curves ahead?" are only few examples he manages to speak in low, masculine voice for the mirror. But when he actually meets a member of the opposite sex, he gets superbly nervous and only manages to come up with: "NICE BO**S!" foreslap foreslap foreslap -
If you do a bit of research you could bring in elements of autism, aspergers syndrome and other interesting mental traits on the spectrum. :)

May have been said already but…
Narcisistic: The narcisist is usually quite attractive and inteligent, and they know it. While usually quite outgoing and able to make friends with relative ease, they are likely to overestimate the control they have over another. Afterall, who would want to betray someone as handsome and brilliant as you? Some of their greatest fears include their appearance being physically, or just socially, mutilated; and becoming disliked.
Cold Anger: This person has a cold anger burning in their veins, a fury long burried from an event in their past. They may be gruff, irritable, or cold, though possess a murderous temper when angered, the anger often triggered by something reminding them of 'The Event'. They are unlikely to make friends frivolously, and tend to keep everyone at arms length.

Virtues can be turned into vices, and vice versa :P
Single-Minded
A character who focuses so much on a single goal that they ignore or refuse to acknowledge the existence of peripheral vision - that is, is blind to everything else that goes around them.Submissive
A natural follower, they always obey the commands of more powerful, awe-inspiring people - whether they want to or not.Stubborn
This character is set in their beliefs - whether an stoic traditionalist or a proud youth, it is difficult to change their mind once a decision is made, even if a new idea would be far more beneficial!Sullen
Short-tempered, but rather than exploding like a volcano, they will simmer at a low boil until they are overloaded with emotion and then - SNAP. KABOOM. Usually pout and fold their arms defensively rather than stand up for themselves.Snobbish
Rich bitch, spoilt brat. They believe they are superior to every other living being, either because of race or class. Physical characteristics: dark suits and an upturned nose, as if something stinks very bad. Probably you, smelly adventurer.Attention-Seeking
They thrive in the spotlight, and constantly seek new ways to pull people towards them. They are brilliant liars and tale-spinners, their fabrications often as depressive as they are marvelous - one day they may tell of their famous exploits across the world, another they may tell everyone that they want to kill themselves because their life is so horrible.Follower
Different from the meek submissive type, this character constantly tags along in adventurers hanging off the lead man's ass and copying his every deed, often with disastrous results. Aspires to be great, but is phail.Annoyingly Helpful
They want to help everyone! Is that such a bad thing? Yes it is, when they don't respect independence! They are constantly bothering their master or friends with questions such as "Do you want a drink, a foot massage or can I stick the sword in him?" Good for lazy people who need slaves, but not so good if they're utterly useless and clumsy.Insecure
Lacking self-confidence and possibly also lacking faith in others, they may try to hide their weakness by acting out and pretending to be someone else. They are generally discontent with who they are, and often envy others of their supposed happiness.Ugly Girl
A rare creature of such hideousness with a face that only a mother could love. Yes, she fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.Predictable
While this character may be counted on for their reliability, they are are easily read, despite amusing, pitiful attempts to be original and clever.Mr (Not)Awesome aka Boaster
A CoA version of my brother - believes they are clever and the coolest thing since sliced bread. They often try to boss around their older sister and attempt to outdo everyone else (Oh yes, you have climbed Mt Everest but I've done it FIVE times) but their version of "intellectual awesome" defies logic, often leaving their unfortunate victim with a great desire to kill themselves.EDIT – TWO MORE (I will stop now!):
Tattle-Tale
They sneak around eavesdropping on people, before narking on everyone to the big guy, thinking this will please him and make sure he protects them from revenge!Deadly Serious
A character with no sense of humour who half the time mistakes a joke as a serious threat! Everyone is very careful around them, lest they upset the poor guy/gal and get stabbed or a river full of tears.
