Hello, lately I have been having some issues with the game, (wasn't 100% sure were to post this) what has been happening is each time i reach low health, my screen goes pitch black, and I can't click on my potions so I die. At first I thought it was my monitor so I switched it immediately, and it happened again, so I switched monitors once more, only to watch my screen go pitch black again. Then I figured it might be my Computer, so I switched to a diferent one, now I am sitting in the Fugue plains with a black screen waiting to see if I will be getting a rez or losing a 4th level in the past 3 days…Can someone tell me what is going on?

sounds like a graphics card issue to me?
is it a new or old card?
          have you recently updated it?
what are your game settings on?

Hardware specs would be handy but if the game runs fine until you reach "low health" it probably is something to do with overrides.

I'd suggest temporarily removing all your overrides in your override folder and seeing if this alleviates the problem.

Make a new char and test it in a local module, then try again maybe in CoA (again with a alternate character) have someone spar with you to get you to low hp, I don't know. Send a PM to a DM in game maybe and see if they'll help you test out this 'low hp' bug.

If everything works fine, move your add-ons back into your override folder one by one until you locate the culprit.

Then I figured it might be my Computer, so I switched to a diferent one, now I am sitting in the Fugue plains with a black screen

This just confuses me, really. Two entirely different computers (different nwn installs as well, obviously) give you a black screen? And how do you know if you're in the fugue if you can't see anything? Is your UI still visible? Loading screen still visible(only other way you would know you're going into the fugue)?

Well the first computer it was a somewhat older one, but I have played the game on it many times and never had a problem, the second computer was a brand new top of the line gaming pc (only a week old).

Norkire: I know i am in the fugue planes because…I died...and my loading screen was visible, along with my text box...other than that...nothing

Okay, so your UI is visible when logged in with both computers? This would include not only chat boxes but quickslots and ability to see your character portrait, UI submenus such as the character sheet, spellbook, etc.

If you make a new character in CoA or local modules, do you have the same black screen?

You never said anything about any overrides you have used. Check that out.

Ok I dont have time to check my specs or overrides, but the loading screen was full yes, and it was just a small corner of the screen visible, no quick slot(other than the first two or three below the chat box) no character portrait….

                    As stated before.
did you install the same copy of NWN on both PC's and did you add any overrides to both?
