Forum Slowness

I don't know if it's just me, but even since the forum maintenance downtime, I keep having troubles. I can usually log on once to the forums, then it stalls after I flip a few pages and I can't refresh or access it any more for a while.
Is it just me? And what would be doing that?

Just you. Reset your router, flush your dns; all that jazz! Probably go away on it's own, though..

No, you're not alone. The same thing has been happening to me too after the down time. I also commonly receive this message:
phpBB : Critical Error
Could not connect to the database

What Apoptosis said happened to me too when I let it try to load after a few minutes. But it seems fine now, at least for me.

The error message occurs when I use the "City Of Arabel" image-link in the top-left of the screen. The "City of Arabel Forum Index" link also produces the same result.
