Yesterday, THE THING sent its minions to fight against an official Council patrol.
Mercenaries armed to the teeth with finest weaponry Arabel could offer,
lead by the brave Jack Silver, professional adventure-master of the Crazy Eights.

The patrol bravely withstood against these terrors of beneath, defending the path to Arabel,
But as the skirmish continued- THE THING emerged, and so Crazy Eights wisely retreated!

This once more proves the danger that lurks beneath, this once more proves…

    The threat is real!
    Do not enter the sewers!
Do not risk the safety of all!

    The threat is real!

    Denizen of Arabel,

The sewer is now an official remit of the Citadel Council. The Agents of Arabel have wisely decided to continue spreading their influence there, to fight back the scourge of the legendary monster known officially as – THE THING. This has been largely due to the evidence _brought to surface f_rom a number of investigations by the rat of the council.

Due to the severe nature of the danger it poses, any and all trespassers showing negligence, ignorance or otherwise reluctance of the order can and will be, in their actions, convicted for at least an attempted murder of any and all denizen of our beloved city, and shall be punished accordingly, the least of which being a serious offense.

“If guilty of Serious Crime the accused must work in The Pit for no less than a day's worth of ore, fines may apply”
~ The Arabellian Laws of 1393

Sewer permits are handed out to the brave of Arabel, who are considered liable and worthy of trust by the appointed officials, to patrol the sewer in the name of the citadel. For each normal permit, a fee of 50 gold is the tariff collected by the officials. The gold gathered will be used to further expand the citadel capabilities.

A sewer permit is a distinctive safeguard, and cannot be used by any other denizen. If lost, please see to a new permit obtained from the appointed officials. Personnel without permits will be treated equally as any offender.

Adventurers that go beneath legally are also reminded to pray to the mistress of disease before entering, so as to not further provoke Talona and returning with her curse, endangering all of Arabel.

The following is a list of adventurers currently possessing a sewer permit.

Horgar the Greyskin, Agent of Arabel
Kyros Halav, Esteemed Magus of Thay
    DrakhDkariss, Knight of Thay

    Grail Rathmore, Sewer deputy
    Logan Clement, archeologist
Faye Kendt, Squire of Dame Ariadne Greyhorn
Delina Adams , One of the Swarm

All residents of the Bar Beneath, sucking the tit of the mother, guided by the Miasmatic herself.

Keep your eyes open on those who would see us all endangered by their reckless attitude. A “Rats fee” is a partial of the fine issued onto the criminal, given to the loyal denizen, who point out these offenders of the law who choose to go below without a permit**. Evidence must be presented**.

  • Survivors of Arabel

The rodents came above, fleeing the nightmare from below. Squeals and roars filled the streets as lion and rodent fought each other, drowning Arabel in blood. And during, the ground shook and the storm raged on the sea, as the mad laughter of THE THING loomed upon all.

For weeks, has our beloved city suffered by a lingering presence of danger. Sharpening our swords, blockading the sewer entrances, we have tried to defend from the threat that we have all heard the stories of. Ever since the first signs of the bloody miasma to the spiders surging from beneath, we have known something was wrong. For weeks, has the Council of Arabel sent patrols beneath to fight back its spawn, while I, the insignificant representative of Arabels downtrodden, squeaked in the ears of my betters, failing to gain the ear of Arabels bravest- until now. Now, when both rodent and lion, rot on the streets.

Let all of Arabel know that today, the brave of Arabel, like lions they are, mustered their courage to face the colossal monster. So they sliced their way through both rodent and spawn in an endless combat, pushing through the waste of civilization to the very heart of Arabel. There, shoulders deep in slimy water, through colossal sea maggots and parasites, they found themselves to a room covered by a hundred of hatching eggs! They began to dispose of the abnormity, and this lead to their confrontation with the menace behind it all. THE THING, with a whisk of its head, scattered them off like fleas to the depths of the Wyvernwater, from where the Brave of Arabel survived to the shores.

Thanks to the brave survivors, the council of Arabel secured a vital element to end its threat. This favor will be returned by the family of Rathmore! With the devastation of today remembered through the bodies that still litter the streets, let us remind ourselves on the importance of finding the Staff of Ilmater, the mark of Arabels leader and champion, and the only thing that can stop the threat before the city is lost. May the legendary lord Hardcastle of Arabel be given this scepter, let our glorious lord end the threat. F_or the city must be safe, the city must be secure!_

    May my squeaks be heard,
