Alrighty so those who've been working with/around our group have probably noticed the inordinate amount of time I spend basically idling. . .

See, I have /very/ little personal time these days as I run (what amounts to) three separate shops by my lonesome. In all this chaos and mess, I /try/ to get a little RP and (when I think I can get 10+ minutes of quiet time) maybe a bit of questing now and again however ultimately it usually ends up with me going AFK for extended periods while I deal with customers, computer repair or store fires.

So I suppose my question is how might one most effectively push plots forward within the limited constraints of such a timescale? Yes, I know 'time management' and all that but there's also the issue of motivation at the end (and during) the day. I want to sit down and enjoy myself for a few minutes, not wonder how/if we'll get ahead. . .

Why don't I play when I'm off work? Weeelll. . . I spend a good 13+ hours a day /at/ work as a baseline so there is no /real/ separation of the two at the moment. And when I get home I barely have the energy/motivation to crawl into bed, much less play anything requiring thought.

Anyway. . . Tips, suggestions and ideas are welcome.

I have yet to find any problem that could not be solved by the liberal application of one of three things; heavy metal, extreme force, or copious lubrication. -Gondar Kettar

Mind you, it's no fun spending every minute you're logged on being told of the exploits of your minions.

play a merchant/ join fivestars. You can give discounts to people who give you good gossip and rumours and find yourself in the thick of things with a limited amount of invested time.

Why not get some help, or limit your workload? This kind of situation is exactly why businesses hire more people.

But as far as time management in game is concerned, minions do work well. You can always keep track of them in the forum, and that gives you time to do as you please. However, if you find yourself unable to do so given your real life constraints, maybe you should pursue something less involved? People usually play followers because it's easier and less time consuming.
