Wizard concept ideas?

I don't like the idea of the Mages Guild being almost empty. Is anyone else bothered by this? I heard that they only had one mage there now. Is this true?
I am well involved with my current Rogue, but I thinking that if some people begin to throw ideas about a Wizard of the Mages Guild, or a Stark Wyvern with the current state of the Mages Guild that maybe, eventually people would try them out and give it a shot.
Please explain your concepts if possible. Oh and yes, I am looking for a mage that is looking to work for the Mages Guild not against it.

Well that is good! I was poking around the internet for concepts and found one that is really good for a woman wizard and found the way the author describe it as very catchy! He called it, "A woman's scorn" as in "Hell knows no Fury like a woman scorn".
The build was based in a lot of AOE highly offensive and noisy spells! I am not sure how someone would weave that into a Mage of the Mages Guild but it sure sounds like challenging and fun.
