I have very bad memories as a mage of the Mages Guild but I give it another try if something happens to my current thief. Is no good that there is only one mage in the Mages Guild. (Bad memories because it was very challenging for me, and my first toon in COA)
I guess I advice you play a mage if you are looking for a challenge and want to be responsible for bringing a lot more people to the faction.

A wizard with the mind of a cientist eager to learn and test new things, relationed to the weave and a strong wish to understand hedge magic, someone with freedom of thinking with not combine humanoids races into a new one using magic to create a half troll half goblin a troblin loyal to be a guard.
God: You dont need one that is for sissies.
Faction : Kilgrave the coolest one in the server.
Other benefits could became the one responsible by all subjects involving the weave and hedge magic, you would be able to play with Devin. ;-)

I'm waiting for someone to make a character that is a true BELIEVER…you know, someone who is not "neutral" or plotting for themselves to gain power and making dirty deals to screw other factions. I want to see a Sherriff or someone along those lines of service who really believes in what they are doing and is dedicated to the simple things.
Race, class, or Deity don't really matter, but it would be nice to see a genuinely honest and forthright character stand up and rally true believers.
From getting cats out of trees for little girls to stabbing bad guys in the eyeballs in the sewers and not compromising with crime...I would love to see this concept.
