      i just want to point out there is an intrinsic conflict between secrecy (which provides mystery and the potential for discovery) and inclusion (ie plot hooks, which create inclusion in the game).

      as the subject line might suggest, i think telling artful rumours about plots to provide ample hooks to involve people (Which can be done in game as well, let's face it, not everyone reads the forums) is key to creating the magical balance between mystery and inclusion.

      i know some of the npc scripts will share useful tidbits this way in game as well, and apparently can be fed by dm scripts, not sure if everyone knows that.
