So, I'm drunk and spewed it in CoA. But why not at least open it up to some official conversation?

We can out do the Europeans! We'll get 30 people together, but where, and when!?

            SOLOMON FORTE APPROVES.

In seriousness: Memphis, Tennessee. Shit hot for tourism, just don't make plans to reside there. At all. Plenty of hotels both in my city and Memphis.

            • Mud Island
            • Shelby Farms
            • Memphis City Zoo
            • Graceland
            • Southland Greyhound Park (Dog Racing, albeit in West Memphis)

Just off the top of my head.

Graceland gets some points, I don't really know what anything else is though.

As for Orlando; there's the theme parks (Disneys 4 parks, Universal's 2, Sea World, and Busch Gardens to the distant South), and thats kind of it. Its sort of a typical city other than that, every other tourist attraction is just silly and fun, but nothing you'd travel for.

Since there's a lot of Canadians in the arctic circle (probably) at least somewhere a bit further north might be ideal. But Maureen pointed out that tickets to certain places (such as Orlando) are cheaper.

I'm totally in favor of traveling myself, I'm bored at home; but that is a legitimate excuse. Its a tourist city, and tickets are likely to be reasonable.

(But Graceland would be awesome, otherwise I'd be in favor of somewhere in New York)

None of y'all will want to visit Syracuse, the Golden Snowball winner… but a couple of us will be in Boston for First Night... then?

Get a real city. Like Las Vegas.

My vote goes to Seattle. Seriously, we have Microsoft.

And that's a reason to go there?

That has to be the absolute worse advertisement for a city I've ever heard. And I'm not entirely sure I understand it.

Your pitch about Seattle having microsoft tops that.

It's a relatively safe city, if that counts.

I could do anything great plains or east with enough notice. I doubt I could manage the cash or time required to go further west than Wichita/Oklahoma City/Houston/Sioux Falls (and except for Houston, every city on that list is probably way too expensive to fly into). The big destination places are usually the cheapest flights. Orlando, New Orleans, etc…
