I shall confess at that point when we were dying one by one I was no longer sure whether we failed, or were we meant to die. You know "That odd feeling when the DM wants you to die (in order to get the plot going)".

We came out on top. I -barely- squeaked out a profit. The level 1 who was doing his first group quest made tons.
