      Hi folks,

I'd like to learn to use the toolset at least on a basic level as I start to host NWN games for my friends soon.
Actually I failed to build a square-shaped castle-wall because I could only place parallel walls. :)

In short, I'd need a guild for using the toolset. Is there anything like that on the web?

      thanks

Thanks, I'm learning the toolset. The file is cool so far.

            I have another question.

If I play a module that doesn't require the expansions but I have them installed, do the other players participating in the game (via LAN) need to install the exp or not?

(Just to be clear. module needs nwn 1.30, i have the latest version but the others doesn't have anything installed. What should I install to them?)

thanks in advance. didn't want to spam topics on the forum. ;)

If you are only loading the mod to play it and its v 1.30 then that is all they need,

however once you open it with the toolset.
it will be converted to the current version you have and everyone who want to play on it will need to have the same version as yourself

I believe that all the files you need are stored in one folder NWN. I wonder if you could set up two, or even multiple instances/NWN folders with different patches side by side.

To experiment, I'd make a ZIP or backup of your current NWN file and then delete it. Reinstall NWN and patch it up to what ever version wyou need and rename the NWN folder to NWN1.x. You could then restore your backup to a folder NWNv1.y or what ever, next to it. You'd get the option to play/develop with which ever version was required.

I've never done it, but the principle seems sound enough. Anyone else have thoughts on this?
