Desktop icons? wtf?

Guys, i have a serioys problem with my desktop icons.
Yesterday while i was playing, i dropped Coca-Cola on my keyboard!!! :x Then, after ? cleaned it, i looked on the screen of my laptop and there were no icons at all! Wtf? Maybe i disabled them? or even worse….deleted them?
My screen is blank! sighs please help me restore them..... (and by that i don't mean to add shortcuts by the task bar)
Any ideas what might have happened?

Well, desktop icons are put there by you, by installing things, or creating shortcuts.
Just put them back?

You could also try a restore point.

one thing I can think of that might have happened, when you where cleaning the board you may have deleted all the shortcuts by accident, ( ie accidently selecting all the icons and nocking the delete button ). try to find a older save of the destop of you have one, if not just recreate the shortcuts, cheack to see if you still have your data that the shortcuts went to, if not then your screwed.

wait… did you clean your computer switched on?!
To be honest... I decided not to be honest.
Routine is cable out, battery out, turn the machine so cola comes out, pray for at least two days before trying to switch it on. Organize a party if it works. -
Checked the recyle bin?

I figured it out guys! I had disabled something from the desktop settings by mistake, while i was cleaning the cola! -_-'
