So, clarification on the incoming paladin change?

The decision is made it seem. Paladins will become champions of the alignment extremes. Fair enough.
But will their deities be restricted to the gods who match those alignments or will they still be open to the one step rule?

We'll be putting up clarifications pretty soon. But yes, Lathander can have Chaotic Good and Lawful Good paladins. Just like Helm can have Lawful Evil and Lawful Good clerics.

No, this means Lawful Neutral Hoar will have Lawful Good and Lawful Evil Paladins, just as he has LG and LE clerics. Same for Helm.

Most important question is when this will happen?
Paladins had a very strict code so far. How will it change? Will there be four codes? Will there be no codes? Will they be able to fall out of grace?
Will there be mechanical changes? (apart from their summons.)
