Stupid questions
-
ok I know you have to app for a PrC class but why
-
Why do you personally want to play a PrC or why should you have to apply?
-
why apply, reasons like be an assassin don't bother me much just why to apply what's the need?
-
Why the need to pick the Assassin PrC?
Is it not something you can play fairly well with a Rogue? -
It makes prestige class more prestigious when you are the only assassin of your CoA era than when there are 2~3 of them online at the same time.
We just want you to show us you put some thought in your character concept before going for a PrC. PrC are pretty much earn in game anyway. You apply once you believe you earned them. Some are more difficult to get than others depending of their strength.

The harper should be easy, thats a crappy PRC.
-
What about it is crappy?
-
Oh I got this one
@Black:
Harper Scout
Since I played the only one, like, ever. My analysis of its crappy aspects
-For a Scout, its strangely missing Search and Spot as class skills. UMD too, as the class flavor goes.
-Skills: discipline 4 ranks, lore 6 ranks, persuade 8 ranks, search 4 ranks <- This is a weird set. Its largely only achievable at a reasonable level by a bard, cleric or druid. The class gives zilch for spell progression, and can't take Perform skill, meaning it pretty much screws all the viable classes for taking it.-Deneir's eye - Well, it makes no sense, but +2 vs traps is at least something semi-useful.
-Tymora's smile - Combined with the fact that the class has the rare Reflex/Will save combo, this one is probably a highlight.
-Lliras Heart - Another +2 vs Midn Effecting, decent enough (NWNs odd definitions on some saves not with standing (FEAR IS NOT MIND EFFECTING)
-The Cats and Eagles powers are useless in a world with potion making.
-Then the fifth level is total garbage. You can make cats and eagle potions 1/day, which're just as useless as their power versions. Invis 1/day is also just a few gold saved, and has an even shorter duration then the potions of the same. For someone never intended for it, I pretty much had as much of a powerbuild (accidentally*) as you'd get with it. Ranger/Rogue, so the save boosts filled in gaps in mine. Its still generally weighed down with abilities that're obliterated by potion availability and its bizarre requirements.

The cats grace and Eagles splendor stacks with normal spell or potion use however…
