Curse you, Bhaliir! Curse you and your giant hole in ground fetish!

Looks like a scene from the 2005 War of the Worlds movie.

A rather large sinkhole in Guatemala.

The thing which scares me the most, is that you do not see the end of that hole. Perhaps it's just the angle… but the lack of any building derbis doesn't help either.

I wonder when can we expect Candlekeep to show up.

If that is a real pic then all i can say is "Holy mother of Crap holes!"
Did you see how cylindrical that was?
nature is never that clinical… -
And - where the fuck did the earth go? To an underground cave system with a lost world and dinosaurs? That's just scary as hell. If I lived in there, I'd move away immediatly.

Scary: Big hole.
It is real. The city is built over a a region with lots of porous, soft mineral caverns, water erodes at them over time, creating sink holes. The hole gives the illusion of a massive cylindrical hole. The empty space you see is not only a hole going down, it is a massive empty area which spreads out in other directions.
Much more scary: Part of the city is built over a huge cavern.
-
Hot dog down a hall way.

Some people really need to think a tad harder on where they build cities.
