D20 modern

Has anyone tried any d20 modern modules if so are they any good and how would you stop it from overriding stuff when you play coa?

I don't think there is anything technical stopping you copying your NWN folder and subfolders. You could then patch one of the folders for "Modern" and leave the other one vanilla for CoA.

Thanks for the advice i'll give it a try

There are a few D20M modules running around though I can't speak to their quality as I've never played them. There's also an active Modern Zombie server which I don't want to advertise here out of respect for the forums. If you're interested, I'll PM you a link to it.
As far as overriding things, the D20M haks don't override anything from vanilla NWN and you can freely switch between servers that use either or with no work on your part. It'll read the haks and tlk or it won't. These are based on the module being hosted and will only load if they're needed.
Hope that helps!

Cheers for that just thought i would try it out as i'm all for trying new stuff out

MZS is more of a "Hard Core" RP server (then again, not exactly).
There is an alternative called Resident Evil (something something). It is much more light core, but it has become relatively inactive for some time. Still, if you just want to fiddle about with D20 Modern, that one has a decent number of scripts and ideas.

If a server requires hak files, then installing the haks will not affect CoA or anything else. The only time you run into trouble is if you are asked to drop things into your "override" folder.
