Hanse Trees, the ultimate annoyance
-
Trapped in Porry Hatter's basement right now… wiling away the time because it's blocking the only exit...
Why do we have hanse trees?
-
happend to me once in crypt quest. I asked around for a dm.
-
At least you won't starve, trapped down there!
-
They disappear after a while. I remember we had some fun roleplaying thinking we were trapped down in the Damp Caves one time, before it finally went away.
-
It was a plot, that is…. over? isnt it? I dont know, wasnt really invovled.
The things bug me to be honest, does someone need to do something to get rid of those annoying things? I'll make a character who's only goal is to get rid of them if thats the case.

Ask Greencastle or the Kest brothers to supply Arabel's adventurers with all kinds of axes. You know what to do then.
-
I think there -should- be a placeable to be clicked and attacked/fireballed/spitted on so we could cut the tree.
I remember seeing some with it.
-
personally a few of my characters have loved them.
Fyananamoac because they are trees!
Karic enjoyed wandering the hullack with a few seeds in his bag in case he ever got the chance to isolate some red hart in the deeper parts, nothing like a wall of trees to stop the cowardly knights from running away!
-
Is it true the vines give a DR?
-
It is, they give 1 DR, as far as I could notice. There may be other effects though
-
I once got trapped in a room with clay golems thanks to three blooms of the hanse.
I'm patiently waiting for the day the druid king erupts from the tree and brings civilization to its knees.
Its like a cocoon.
DAMN YOU GMMC
-
You can blow those things up. The CoG taught me that.
-
Yup, get your flamethrowers ready. The things have 15-odd hps so they can be broken. They can't be targeted, so only cone spells or other AoEs (like fireball/HoG can affect them.
I love them. They open up great RP opportunities at the most unexpected moments/places.
-
Finding them in the fugue is always good then you can fight the spawns unarmed it's alittle more challanging

Downside is that if you die in the fugue you're stuck. :D
