Tech Support..

Alright, so…A few long weeks ago I got a horrible sickness and somehow survived. I'm better now though and wanted to start playing CoA again, however...my computer got a terrible sickness as well. Whenever I try to log onto the internet it tells me the application no longer exist which is very annoying because I can't download any other forms of Internet since I don't have an internet app to begin with anymore. >_>
That's my first problem, my second problem is that I have found this source which allows me to get onto the internet, the only problem is that I'm missing SOMETHING, and I don't know what it is but it's enabling those annoying little red x's where images and things should be and I have no idea how to disable it. Ideas please? =(

If you have a system restore point, try rolling back to a last known good date and see if that fixes it.

I do professional tech support. And I don't quite understand what you are saying.
Try getting a friend to download firefox into a USB and install it from there I guess.

You sound like every professional tech support person in the world.

Re the red X's, go into your internet settings and enable viewing pictures. Also, see if your running through a proxy server when you shouldn't be. For both of these things, google is your friend.

I'm not sure what sort of internet service you have or anything but have a look at:
1. go to control panel - open "Internet" (or in MS Internet Explorer go to - tools - internet options)
2. Click on the connections tab
3. Click on LAN settings
4. See if there's proxy server information entered.I don't know if there should be because I don't know what internet service you have. I would guess no. Write down the numbers and then delete them and see if your browser still works.
There have been some viruses going around that jack your restore points, hijack your internet via proxy server. Unfortunately, those viruses open your computer to a bunch of other things, as well as coming packaged with, other viruses that may have dome more damage.
I'm a big fan of malwarebyte and Norton power eraser have been good to me; because straight Symantec didn't catch it in time.

Do you still have a browser installed right? I'm a little confused.

Alright, I'm going to try some of these things and keep ya posted. And yes, I think I still have the browser installed…It's very weird. When I try clicking on the folder or shortcut or whatever else, it says "Sorry, this application no longer exist." Which is weird because why would I ever delete the internet off my computer?
I think it was the virus, anyways, I'm not exactly sure how to get internet back onto my computer if the broswer was indeed deleted somehow. It says I have internet connection, I can use my messangers, I just can't actually get onto any webpages if that makes sense.

An offline installer for Firefox: http://www.buzz99.com/2315/download-fir ... installer/
Download it on another computer, put it on a USB memory stick, and transfer it to the computer with the you need a browser installed on.
However, if you can't even play NWN online, your problem is not a deleted/corrupt browser. You said: "Whenever I try to log onto the internet it tells me the application no longer exist" - what application? And how are you trying to log onto the internet? Provide screenshots if it's a chore explaining the problem in writing.

Format, reinstall. The great fix all
-
Control pannel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Windows Compenents tab
There you should be able to uninstall and reinstall Windows IE.
Of course, I have no idea what OS you are using, what internet browser you were commonly using, and what recently changed.
Rollback is also a great idea.

Before doing that I would recommend trying a system restore first and if that doesn't work than go for the formatting option.
