Recruiting people for a player faction concept
-
Hey everyone - basically I'm looking for some players who are interested in rolling new characters (or playing existing ones if they fit into the concept - which would be figure out IG and ICly rather than here) for a player faction concept.
The general type of characters I'm looking for are as follows :
Sorcerers - Neutral or Evil alignment preferred, Pure sorc class with possible some battlemage style multiclass.
Fighters/rogues - Also neutral /evil alignments, preferably played as slave/assistant/hired hand to the sorcerers.
As for players, I'm looking for players (any playtimes will do as long as you can devout sometime to the overall goals of the concept) who will devout time to the overall goal of the concept - as well as having individual character goals that will provide more intrigue amoungst the players in the faction.
If interested shoot me a pm for more details and I can explain the general idea of the concept - I'm definitly willing to listen to ideas and adjust/expand the concept if any interested players have ideas to add to it.
Thanks for your time.

Bump/update:
I supose I'll just post the general idea so people don't have to go through the hassle of pms without giving away too much.
Generally speaking the faction would be a independant sorcerers circle, with their own individual and group goals - an environment that would lead to intrigue within the circle as well as involving other players/factions without.
I am very willing to work with and expand the general idea around what interested players would bring to the table. PM if interested!

What makes this different from the mage guild?
-
Besides the fact that they don't sit indoors 12 hours a day reading books and not getting laid… =p jk, sent a pm with a bit more details to you.
-
Sounds like a druids circle… but sorcerer style

Sorcerers are able to join the mage's guild aswell, so not all of them are reading books. But seems more like what LaF is trying to say is, why make a brand new group of mages, when there is already one out there. There is plenty of factions already out there that could use boosts… Just saying.

Just a little chime in!
Just because there is a faction out there doesn't mean that we all should give up on our own ideas because it's easier to join something premade. So power to you! Enjoy your group and good Luck(;

There's probably more to the concept than they are putting into the public thread. It's likely they are trying to avoid spoilers. If they truly are 'just' a circle of sorcerers, then it could still be a lot of fun seeing what they end up deciding to do. Who knows, maybe they're gonna try and play the MG and the Lyssans off each other and steal both thier weaves?

All the weaves shall be mine!

That changed when Verk joined.

I would like to say that while what the OP says is true, there are more things to consider. CoA is about group storytelling. Spreading players on several concepts means less will receive attention. If there are 2 people in group A, and 2 in group B, with very similar concepts, it is worth to get group A and B togather into group C, because it will make it more worth for a DM to show interest.
Disclaimer: this is just my opinion.

I agree with this. Personally, I've always found Team A vs Team B, each with 10 players each, more fun than Team A vs B vs ….vs X with 1-2 players. Butter's being spread too thin on the bread.
Personal opinion, of course!

Perhaps they have a agenda utterly opposed to the mage guild ?
