Can other players see what I type when my char is stealthed?
-
Im not certain that Amarantha can be heard when she is hiding. Does anyone know?
-
If your in sight of a player unhidden, then click hide - they still see you. They will hear you
If your not in sight of a player, and you enter their site hidden - and they don't make their listen/spot checks - they won't hear what you say.
The best thing to do while in the company of others is hide and unhide, switching between the two if you happen to go out of sight of those your trying to talk too.

Just remember, if you are at the head of the group and so much as turn the corner, going out of their line of sight you will dissapear to them.

She's asking wheter other players will see in the chat what she writes if she is hidden to them, or not.
Actually, I do not know. The best thing is to simply test it in game with a friend, and let us know.

It's just like talking behind a close door. They will hear what you say for a short while, but then after a certain period without seeing your character, they won't hear anything.

If they passed in the spot test and are seeing you Yes the can read you if they failed No.

Thanks for the responses. I've been talking to people in game and I don't think they've heard me while I've been stealthed. Now I know why!

I might be wrong, but I also had the same question some time ago and I think that if stealthed, then the players roll spot, if they spot you they can see the dialogue text, if not they roll listen, then you may not be visible yet but they still can hear, so they see someone said something (Unknown speaker?)

actually it is the listen roll not the spot.
and as stated above just make sure you stealth/unstealth occasionally so that your allies can keep a view on you.
As the highest level rogue out there you will probably spot all of the other stealthed characters anyway so the state that they are in doesnt make as much difference as your state to them.

Both.
So long as they pass ONE of those rolls and thus are aware of you, they can see what you type.
The same is true of invisibility. Unless you get close enough for them to "hear" you (ie see you semi transparent) they can see what you type. If you move away from that range then they can see what you type briefly but it soon stops.
