Records, Maps, and Historical Battles: East Way
-
_Terenshan enters the library, and searches for any texts that detail battles in the area of the East Way- specifically, he searches for tomes or texts that discuss the tactics involved, and specifically give accounting of how the battle was fought, and what commands or decisions were made at each step. Memoirs from soldiers who fought, depictions in stories, essays, poems, or songs of the battles, and the like, are also sought out.
His search, by and large, is one for specific details, rather than generic knowledge of the where and when._

// This is one of those questions that just baffles the DMs, what do you actually want to know from the response?
-
//Two parts, I suppose. The first is whether there are any records or accounts of battles in the area of the East Way, and secondly, if so, what form they take. For example, a soldier's memoirs might have an account of a particular part of a battle, or a historical review of a battle might lay out where someone chose to defend, or attack the East Way from.
The point of this, is to gain any insights into trying to arrange a defense of the East Way against nearby hostile forces.

He finds a few diaries from war veterans of the Goblin Wars and the librarians suggest he looks for the book The Last Revolution about the fall of the Goldfeather line.
//that's the best you'll get, DMs typically give out plot information or setting information on this forum, we're not really going to write any military theory most likely, especially since most that is moot on a system like NWN.

Terenshan is seen pouring over the diaries, many of them spread out before him at a desk. A rough sketch of a map rests before him, along with parchments, and he often makes references, and cross-references, noting down points and making small marks on the rough map. Whether he is recording, considering, comparing, or planning, though, remains unclear.
//Just what I was looking for, no worries!
