Join an empty DM faction! Applicationless July!
-
Got DM permission to make this post.
As some of you may or may not be aware, July is National Strawberry Harvesting month. More relevant to CoA, this is Applicationless July.
/topic/1200That means you can join a faction without having to write an application, the DMs will write one for you!
Why should you join a DM faction? It comes with many exciting benefits!
*Membership in a prominent organization which helps give your character direction and drive!
*Guaranteed conflict with faction enemies!
*Most factions have pretty looking capes!
*They are a lot of fun!
*Ecetera! Two factions right now are close to empty. The Cormyrian Embassy and the Scholars of Candlekeep.
There are also VERY few prestige classes approved at the moment so this is a good time to show interest inn one!
Use this thread to ask faction members or DMs questions if you are interested in joining.

With the return of Myrmeen Lhal a truce was established allowing the Purple Dragons to establish a base and Cormyr Envoys to the city.

I second this post, There is only 2 people in Candlekeep (Myself just joined) and i believe 2 in Cormyrian Embassy (Guessing!) That leaves alot of room for people. I know i have a whole bunch of plans that need a bunch of people!
Aswell i am not a very good app writer, i used the applicationless month to my advantage it was the best thing i've ever done, VERY helpful.
-
Candlekeep has only ever really had 1 person, Andros Olen. Anyone looking to have an impact on a faction would do well to try there.
-
Such lies Bolthor! I could name several others…. hold on... werent -you- one of them!
No, but really, CoCK must be pretty damn sweet right now, reckon things must be building up, it is on the list of DM plot faction guys. Get in.

Hey there guys, I'm new player and I'd like to join a faction.
I'm not sure which one though because they all look fun! However, I wanted to ask if some of them were harder to join and if it's the case, which?

Typically the ones with the most players in them at the moment would be the hardest to get approved for, but any of them are possible so long as your character's concept is interesting enough and his goals will be fun for alot of people.

Alright and is it possible to apply for a war wizard envoy of Cormyr?
-
War Wizard, unlikely.
Envoy, hell yes.
-
Well I read through it and I'd imagine that nobility would be harder than warwizard. Who are those other trusted officials of Cormyr exactly?
-

gDarDog is a great add, but folks there are 4 other open rooms in the Tower. The Custodians are the most open faction there is, not just because of the 4 rooms either. You can make just about any character you can think of and just tweak it slightly to fit. Plus with the Appless month on, it does not get any easier then this.
