New player looking around
-
Looking to join this PW, and wondering where might be a good place to start?
Have some experience elsewhere. Usually play between 8 - 12 pm EST in the USA.
Anyone have a faction or plot that plays during this time quite a bit, and are recruiting PCs?

The Purple Dragons, War Wizards and Cormyrian Envoys could use a boost. Just throwing it out there.

First of all, welcome to the server!
Good place to start is of course by reading through the Announcements and Player Resource Forums, and like the jack-rabbits above me, you'll find most of your enjoyment inside of a DM or PC Faction, but you may want to familiarize yourself with the setting first before joining any of them.
Good Luck and hope to see you in-game!

MOAR MOAR GNOMES… are needed! Get involved with the Company of the Gear
-
NOES! We need Necromancers! Join the only side of the barricade that will be immortal!
We also have cookies.

Anyway, welcome. Always nice to see a new face, even if it's not literally seeing a new face.

I suggest just making a new character of any background and alingment and learning about the factions in game, until you find one that fits best with you concept; or starting you own group if you like.
-
Go criminal. Murder, steal, be an ass and then die in some painfull manner. A good start on the server, no?

If you do it with style, hell yes.

Probably the best advice.
-
I'm liking the number of new players around at the moment, long may it continue! I think Bolthor’s advice is sound, make a generic character to learn the ropes and then take it from there.
Out of curiosity what attracted you to CoA?
-
Welcome to CoA :) And yes I think Bolthor's advice is the most sound in this thread so far
-
I have done that, but then I get told off that my character is not fit to join any of the factions that would interests me, so personnaly I disagree with that advice and I'm also looking for a group or guild to join.
Welcome Arefugee.

No-ones first character lasts. Keep playing, see what factions and plots excite you, and get going on a new character. App ahoy!
-
Told off? That sounds pretty unlikely.

Probably the best advice.
Here's some better advise.
NEW KILGRAVE!
I hear their leader is one sexy mofo.

What is this Kilgrave thing?
