What timezone do you play in?
Canada Eastern Standard, which is usually GMT -5.
What kind of plots do you like to run?
Generally the stereotypical fantasy might, magic, monsters stuff. They intersect usually with other types though. Occasional bizarre mind-twisting stuff and/or horror elements too.
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
Largely the Chaotic ones. I always seem to veer off lawful (I can do lawful, but it's not my general taste)
What do you like to do with your time in the game?
I tend to zap around the less frequented/safe areas, doing stuff with people out of the city main areas. Or setting up random stuff for people to find later.
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
I'm a Computer Programming and Internset Solutions development graduate. Which I hate doing on a professional basis, so Iwork at Goodwill instead.
I do a fair amount of random stuff, digital art, writing. I alternate between a couple of band projects, usually playing guitar.
Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?
I've played PNP in Shadowrun, D&D (largely in an ongoing FR campaign that's been going long enough it bears no resemblance to canon anymore) and VtM. Neverwitner Nights is about the first game I play regularly online, though I played Unreal (And it's tournament franchises), the Command and Conquer Series, and Heroes of Might and Magic as well.
Do you have a nickname?
Too many to list here, really.
What is the best way to approach you?
Forum PM's will usually catch my attention (since it sets off a popup blocked alert). IRC works, but I'm prone to being sporadic on there (Talking between commercials, or wandering off to do RL stuff and so on)

What timezone do you play in?
BST! Rule Britannia, bitches.
What kind of plots do you like to run?
Story based, at the moment. Low action.
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
Guards. I had two when I was a player and tend to be more familiar with them than any other faction. I used to be the DeSchurr house DM too.
What do you like to do with your time in the game?
Possess NPCs and make bad jokes. Send asinine tells.
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
I play RTS and FPS games like Dawn of War and Quake Wars: Enemy Territory. For the Makron!
Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?
No.
Do you have a nickname?
Yes, but they're all too expletive to list here.
What is the best way to approach you?
Send me a forum PM, that way I can get to it when I have time and not when I'm in the middle of something else.

What timezone do you play in?
Massachusetts, GMT -5
What kind of plots do you like to run?
Anything I run is not straight forward and usually won't be just what it is but will have a longer meaning to it. It doesn't matter if it is a good or evil plot because anything I do will attempt to be universally involving. All that matters to me is the story being intelligent and smart. Things that are not always what they seem to be is a safe bet when it comes to a theme of anything I do. I always want to produce a grin at the end of my plots.
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
KOTMS, Bhaliir, subraces (although not really a faction). I like seeing PC factions that have more of a purpose than to make money or adventure together or combat evil/good, but with an actual end goal.
What do you like to do with your time in the game?
I mostly observe and try to make what I run open to everyone.
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
I'll be majoring in history this year and begin the long road down the path to eventually teaching American history at either the high school or college level.
Yes, I also do have a social life.
Strategic board games (Twilight Imperium, Starcraft: The Board Game)
Poker (Texas Hold'Em)
LAN marathons
Rise of Nations
World in Conflict
X3: Reunion
Various titles on Nintendo Wii
Various Half Life 2 mods (Goldeneye: Source for example).Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?
Nope
Do you have a nickname?
Nope
What is the best way to approach you?
IRC.

What timezone do you play in?
GMT +1 in winter, +2 during summer (Due to daylights saving time)
What kind of plots do you like to run?
I'm a naughty man, and mainly pivot around the evil society of Arabel. However, due to a cronic shortage of playingtime, I stay out of plot-running at the time being. One shot quests, spice, and helping players move things forward is what I focus on at this point in time.
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
Thay, mostly. I don't have time for more at the moment.
What do you like to do with your time in the game?
Naughtyness and general plotting about world domination.
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
Got a degree in Computer Engineering, focusing chiefly on programming and networks. Got a job as a computer seller, which, even though it's not what I studied for, keeps me in the same area of interest, and provides me with dirt-cheat electronic equipment. (8)
Other spare time interests would be football, (no, not the handbally thing you Americans do) and… football. (STILL not the handbally version).
More than that I just don't have the time for.PLANS I have, however:
-
Reading books (I have a buffer of 15-20 books I've bought and have yet to read. Chief genders are Fantasy, Crime/War, and History (be it nations, wars, great persons)
-
Writing a book (This is more of a dream, prolly won't happen)
Holding Computer Classes for complete beginners. (You have NO idea how many PC-inepts there are above the age of 40ish)
-
Travel to a bootload of countries that holds cultural treasures. (Mayans, Great Wall, Pyramids, etc)
-
Become a professional football player. (Well, WAS a dream when I was 12 anyway)
Other games I play: Many, many. Recently The Witcher (which kicks ass, btw), Civ 4 is a favourite for a slow-paced link-game, I also keep returning to Morrowind and Oblivion to just run rampant in a large world. And a little of late, Settlers 6. (played the tutorial at least <-<)
Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?
Some, but where I live, it was really hard to find enough like-minded to get something proper going. And now, there's just not time.
Do you have a nickname?
A few, actually. (Dear child has many names and all that <-< )
Some:Dade(just gibberish) - Just a nick I got for not being able to pronounce a name properly before I could really speak. Stuck for a while.
Murmel(Playing on a shorter version of that small rodent-animal that sleeps for 25 hours a day.) - Got it from my uncle for unknown reasons. Could be because I slept a lot as a child.
Grimm (Danish for "ugly") - I prefer to think it refers to some of my football tactics, and not anything else…. It's also the first part of my sure-name (Grim) which with the added m got the meaning it has. Kinda like Hulk Hogan!
What is the best way to approach you?
Best is probably forum PMs. I try to be at mirc around the clock, but since I'm fysically in front of the computer for about 2-3 hours per day, chances are I'm not there when you are. PMs can be answered at all times though. Of course, mirc is a viable option as well as long as we're able to meet up!
Addendum: Deleted the spam and locked the thread. No more player-posting!

What kind of plots do you like to run?
Well I'm not DMing currently.. but dark, twisted creepy things. I love my necromancers, poisoners, serial killers that kind of stuff. I love Gothic stuff, so anything along those lines. Stuff with dastardly nobles too. And vampires.
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
Thay, Bhaliir and a whole host of stuff you don't know about
What do you like to do with your time in the game?
Change my DM avatar into various funny objects and animals. Other than that run about looking in places that aren't Central Arabel or the market
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
Dawn Of War sometimes and Halo 3. That's pretty much it.
I don't do anything else, I don't really have a life.
Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?
I played once, then quite after my brother demanded I gave him a silver frog which turned him into a rat 1/day and then burned down an Inn
Do you have a nickname?

What timezone do you play in?
GMT, England.
What kind of plots do you like to run?
Other than having a slight preference for the darker plots I have a broad taste. PvP usually involved.
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
Definitely the darker factions.
What do you like to do with your time in the game?
Wander around hoping to stumble across something interesting, run one-off quests, but my main passion is to bother people relentlessly. Some call it griefing.
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
Football & Gambling.

Timezone?
GMT, Sunny UK an' all that jazz.
What kind of plots do you like to run?
PnP style RP orientated plot drivers, minimum hack and slash and wonton massacring of humanoid to magical beasts. I prefer to have quests regarding the use of characters being able to play out their ability points and interact with objects and their surroundings outside of the game mechanics.
I prefer people to roll with the punches, also. Drop of the hat "running to mummy to cry" will earn you very little attention from me.
What kind of factions do you like to be involved with?
None in particular, I like to cater to those wih PrC wishes and those with goals, specificaly those that try and attain these by going about doing them.
What do you like to do with your time in the game?Progress plots I might have on the go with small sessions or the chatter of a few placed and possessed NPCs. Small things to make the city come alive.
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
I'm plugged into Animation studies at the moment in our splendid university system here in England <.<
Other than that, dodging debt, drinking, studenty type things and I also enjoy Kayakking.

What timezone do you play in?
GMT +9, Eastern Japan.
What kind of plots do you like to run?
Long and open-ended, like Life.
Or, short one-off house-crackings, pilfering, etc. Anything really.
Generally stories with an odd twist that have the possibility of tying into something larger (which they often do).High fantastical drama with darker, aberrant and peculiar, poetical undertones.
Short scenes with strange and unexpected characters in weird localities that help forward my larger machinations.
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
Scoundrels, rogues, bastards, ne'er-do-wells and the criminal/evil element in general. I've always preferred the Villain to the Hero.
Though I'll run pretty much anything for anyone if serendipity and the occasion demands.
My play-time being rather stringent of late. What do you like to do with your time in the game?
Eavesdrop, perhaps run a small quest to forward a long running plot, eavesdrop, add a little something extra to one of the usual scripted quests if I'm not feeling up to anything else and eavesdrop some more.
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
Presently I'm employed by a Design House in Tokyo, Japan.
Working in the capacity of an Interactive Designer/Coder on Flash Actionscript/Web/PHP and media projects. Before moving here (Japan) from my native West Coast home of Vancouver BC, a year and half ago to be with my wife, I worked for nearly a decade in a hospital operating room as a surgical instrument technician, shuttling the living, the dead and everything in between to and from surgery, when not maintaining bloody and invasive implements and machinery.
I love to hike; to travel. To walk. To write. Compose verse in either Early Modern English or Japanese. To read voraciously.
I love the woods, the Land, the Old Earth. Green things. I have a small garden.
I was born amongst the trees, I'll probably die amongst the trees.
Games.
Anything that satisfies my inner megalomania. 4x/Strategy games like the Space Empires series/Sierra's City Building series.Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?
Yes, used to DM 2nd Ed. games for my brother/cousins/friends.
Inevitably folks do what they do: Moved on, grew up, got married etc.So, I turned to CRPG's. And here we are.
Do you have a nickname?
Straw.
What is the best way to approach you?
Forum PMs by far.
I check the forums compulsively since I pretty much always have online access nowadays. Be it from work (where I'm typing this presently) or at home.I loathe IRC, it's a psychic pox. Rots the brain-box it does.
You'll never find me there unless there's been a small apocalypse. -
I'm out for good but anyone who wants to reach me can do so at harrymcscary@gmail.com. No juicy rumors though, so don't ask. It's been an incredibly fun five and a half years, CoA. Later!
-
What timezone do you play in?
GMT -5, but I play really late (usually at night, literally)
I'm from Canada, more specifically, Qubec. What kind of plots do you like to run?
Short ones, when I decide to run something. And as many mentionned it above, I also have a preference for shadier characters/plots/events.
To be honest, I've been investing my time in CoA's scripts lately rather than IG presence.
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
Lately, I have no real favorite.
What do you like to do with your time in the game?
At the moment I do not have much time, so I can only say that whenever I am IG, I'll mostly check who is on and look for what is happening right now to see if there is anything interesting to hear, or any PvP going on, or a quest to spice a bit.
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
I am studying in physic engineering (I'm unsure that translation is right) in Montréal and should graduate in the begining of summer 2008.
edit I graduated! I am now doing a master in my field.
The main form of art I practice is circus and I have done so since I am 11 years old. I am a juggler and a unicyclist.
I enjoy playing board games when I have the time and did play Magic the gathering for some time. I like to play Chess if anyone feels like challenging me on yahoo! I'm a big fan of Starcraft and also enjoy fps like Tribes.
Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?
Yes, I have played PnP second edition for a long time before joining Arabel. I played with a group but we're all in University now and it's nearly impossible to see each others lately.
Do you have a nickname?
Not really, altough as a DM a lot of folks call me Snowy. I chose my DM name because of our harsh winter around here and the one we have this year reminded me how true that is.
What is the best way to approach you?
IRC, PM. If I don't answer I am away or busy.

What timezone do you play in?
GMT +8, so Asia/Australia. The quietest timezones!
What kind of plots do you like to run?
I'm more of a fan of straightforward things, rather than sneaky plotting and twisting. I also prefer the good-side of things. The things I usually do are rather short, instead of long-winding ones, and I like making people feel bad about the wrong choices they make!
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
I love the Knights, fond of the militia and purple dragons too, if anything.
What do you like to do with your time in the game?
I like to spice up quests and change things around a bit. I like following people and picking up on what they're doing, and then making it happen. This is a lot more easily done outside the city, so I'm mostly out there. I also love running one shot quests, or leaving dungeons around for people to find and explore and die in.
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
I don't really do much outside of CoA, to tell you the truth. I was studying pharmacy at uni, but I dropped out of that, and haven't decided what to do yet, so I've got loads of free time.
I play strategy and roleplaying games, none of the new ones, since my computer is ancient. I also like chess, and I can beat Snowy easily!
Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?
No. Mainly just started NwN when I had a lot of "free time" at uni. I actually used to hate NwN because it focused on rolls instead of skill! But I soon learned otherwise.
Do you have a nickname?
Isn't SimultaneousInsult one? I don't have one in real life, and I keep my internet life secret.
What is the best way to approach you?
I hang out on IRC a lot, but best ways are always forum PMs that can be read at one's leisure.

What timezone do you play in?
GMT-5 Eastern USA.
What kind of plots do you like to run?
Generally small to medium length intricate plots that are normally "dark" and/or evil in nature. I am especially partial to plots that'll provoke conflict among PCs.
I like plots that make you think, and if you just rush in and hack and slash, you'll probably end up worse off than you were.
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
Ones that go out of their way to involve others, create conflict, and essentially create a good time for others. I don't really care which faction it is as long as they're doing that, I'll take notice.
What do you like to do with your time in the game?
Spice up quests, add twists to them that catch people off-guard. Run events/quests related to a plot I may be running. Interact with people who are somewhere other than the well-traveled areas of the server.
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
I'm a Management Information Systems major at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. I like to hike, be outside, and just have fun with friends. I'm a brother of Phi Kappa Theta national fraternity, and spend most of my free time at college doing stuff towards that, such as fund raising for charities. I would however like to travel, preferably to another country, but I don't really have time for it right now.
I play other games off and on. I've played about any MMO you could name that's been even remotely popular on the market, and currently have been playing Guild Wars. I play singleplayer games here and there, and currently I've been playing Call of Duty 4.
Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?
Not really, my friends and I tried it when we were still in middle school, but it didn't really go as it was supposed to, haha.
Do you have a nickname?
Nope.
What is the best way to approach you?
I prefer forum PMs, so that I can arrange a time to talk or do whatever is needed. I'm on IRC, but that's normally when I'm in-game. If I'm in-game, you can contact me there, but there's no guarantees I'll be free to do anything other than talk. If I'm in the middle of something, that'll take precedence.

What timezone do you play in?
GMT God's time.
What kind of plots do you like to run?
Straight forward plots which don't last forever. I like to see the people who started something finish it.
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
Sheriffs, Knightly Order of the Red Hart, I like the good guys.
What do you like to do with your time in the game?
I watch and slightly rearrange your stuff.
I don't have the best knowledge of the system but I don't mind trying to help.
What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
I do secret things outside CoA.
I spend alot of time playing Halo 3 with Hinx and Cake.
Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?

Totally forgot about this. <_<
What timezone do you play in?
GMT+1, late hours.
What kind of plots do you like to run?
Depends on the story. I prefer short term plots to lessen the danger of leaving something unfinished or drawing it out too long due to my college schedule.
What kind of Factions do you like to be involved with?
I'm inactive at the moment, so faction-related questions shouldn't be directed at me. I've got no preference for specific kinds of factions - which ones I gravitate to is determined by other factors. I'll update this section once I'm active again.
What do you like to do with your time in the game?
Possessing NPCs, spicing quests, eavesdropping, running quests.
I'm inactive at the moment, but I still like to help out players concepting. What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
I'm studying computer science, which takes up most of my time. I like to read; novels, webcomics and other stuff that strikes my fancy.
Besides playing NWN, I'm a big fan of KotOR, GTA3 and up, AoE II, Wesnoth and The Sims 2 (Yes, I admit it!). I also play cards and board games with friends once in a while.
Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?
Nope, and haven't still.

What timezone do you play in?
I play in that special little Pacific Standard time. -8 GMT.What kind of plots do you like to run?
The fun kind!!11!1!! Uhmm…I guess I really enjoy running plots that are a bit of a challenge to not only the players involved, but to myself as well. Anything that is intriguing with a few twists and turns that can't be forseen. And of course...Anything devilishly evil :twisted:What kind of factions do you like to be involved with?
I really enjoy Thay, Bhaliir, Theives Guild, WWs, and a bit of militia. What do you like to do with your time in the game?
RP. I really enjoy RPing, so anything that involves some creative role playing. Running quests and plots included as well. What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
At the moment I'm at the end of my junior year of college. I'm studying to recieve my BA in Sociology and I'm really enjoying the subject so far. College takes up a good majority of my time.
I've played quite a few other video games in the past, but none that I currently play other than NWN. I just don't really have time.
In terms of my 'real' life, I hang out with my buddies whenever I get the chance. We play music, play beer pong, and just have a good time.
Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?Nope! Not at all. The process in which I purchased NWN and began to play CoA is an interesting one. One fateful night, I went over to my close friend's house, Mr. Combs. He was on some silly game, pwning n00bs as a city miltiaman. I was instantly hooked as he explained the possibilities in the living, breathing world of CoA. So the next day I scrounged up my money and got NWN. I came into the game without knowing anything about FR lore, and don't think I know much now (In comparison to what a lot of people out there know). I've barely scratched a few of the campaigns because my time is dedicated to the online features of the game. Years after watching Combs play that fateful night, I'm here.

I tend to like either large scale military type plots, or facilitating conflicts between factions. But I'll do anything really that catches my interest. What kind of factions do you like to be involved with?
They're all enjoyable, and I like playing all manner of characters. What do you like to do with your time in the game?
Playing NPCs like they are PCs so players can get a sort of view of each one. I also like to sit around and find details to use against players later in terrible mind 'screwing' plots. Lastly, I have my own brand of "Horror" themed quests that I run from time to time. What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
Exploring my faith in the Lord and getting involved where I can at my church. I'm also currently studying for my CPA licensing and will soon begin my employment with PwC.Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?

What timezone do you play in?
UK, currently GMT +1What kind of plots do you like to run?
I like to run plots and events that place ordinary people in extraordinary situations and allow them to rise to the challenge. I try to run long-term plots that build up slowly but which allow people to really jump ahead of the curve if they are smart and if they communicate with other people.People are liable to find my events hard if they just rush in without any thought or preparation, and my plots difficult to follow if they don't investigate around and talk to other people about them.
What kind of factions do you like to be involved with?
The grey, neutral factions that operate between the lines of good and evil. What do you like to do with your time in the game?

What timezone do you play in?
GMT -5 (Late nights on weekdays, sporadic on weekends)What kind of plots do you like to run?
I haven't run any plots as of yet, so this question I can't really answer. I've been doing some little events with as much players as I can. If not, I try to script most of the time to support the major decisions the DM team come up with for the meta-plots of the server. So I guess scripting new and interesting stuff takes the most of my time. What kind of factions do you like to be involved with?
I like factions that are generally proactive as opposed to reactive. I like factions that are run very tightly with little place for inaction. Those kind of factions with IC pressure amongst the members so they -have- to come up with lots of stuff to do.What do you like to do with your time in the game?
I like to watch people roleplay and take notes on players who I have to reward with XP, loot and perks. I oft jump between players who happen to be in peculiar locations in the module, to see what they are doing. What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?

What timezone do you play in?
I'm in the Eastern timezone, GMT-5/-4 depending on daylight savings. I'm ussually on after 8pm but sometimes earlier depending on what I have to do.What kind of plots do you like to run?
I haven't done any big plots, but I like adventures, quests, and have a thing for hostage situations. You can work a hostage situation into almost anything, it gives the rest of the group something to fight for when their team mascot is being held at dagger point. I'm a fan of things that go wrong, things that work unexpectedly(or expetedly in a cliched manner), and players who try something non-mechanical. Thats the point of having a dm isin't it? So you can do things you couldn't do with the AI/game mechanics otherwise? What kind of factions do you like to be involved with?
I don't know a lot about some of the factions, so I've just left them alone for now. Definatly those factions that know what they're doing and actively try to get it done are preferable. Factions that make it no secret what they're end plan is. Mainly because if its a secret I probably don't know it and then I can't do anything to help them. Inter-faction conflict is good, it keeps factions alive and changing. In the end though, I'd say I haven't picked any favorites. What do you like to do with your time in game?
Things, I don't like to idle. If I can't think of a quest to set up I'll find an npc to possess. If no ones near any good npcs I can make one. If I've got a lot of time I'll set up an area and run a longer quest. I believe in a dangerous Arabel. An Arabel filled with bandits, goblins, orcs, and crazy wizards. An Arabel where even the birds will peck your eye out. I'm liberal with killing npcs, remember that if you do something life threatening to an important one. What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
I'm in college studying up to be an Electrical Engineer. I take tests, do homework, write C-programs, and go to classes. I have an Xbox-360 which I only hace access to on the weekends, but at the moment no other game holds my interest. At one point I was rank 37 worldwide in Civilization: Revolutions on the 360. Every other game I'm rank 15,000 or below. I'm getting up there in Battlefield: Bad Company though.Did you play PnP before you came to online gaming?
No, I have no knowledge of Forgotten Realms outside of Neverwinter Nights and a few ficton books. This continually hinders me when I do not know what a Sembian, Zhent, or Pherium is.Do you have a nickname?
Not that I am aware of.What is the best way to approach you?
I don't keep the IRC open very often, if I do I'm probably only in the DM channel. I check the forums often and will definatly get a PM within 12 hours. When in-game I'll try to respond but like I said up above, I don't like to idle. If I'm busy with something else then I'm busy with something else. I'd like to point to this post. Particularly the first tip. If there are 40 people logged in I can't watch everyone. Putting an emote into /dm channel including what your trying to do is very helpfull. Doesn't guarentee anything, but at least I know you're out there. -
Can't believe I didn't find this until now.
What timezone do you play in?
GMT +2/+3. Playing time varies. What kind of plots do you like to run?
Plots and quests that you can accomplish in numerous different ways with different results. I like it when the solution is right in front of the characters but it takes a while till they realize it, or when the most obvious solution is actually the worst one. I also improvise most of my quests so it's fun when the players involved give it a twist by doing something unexpected. What kind of factions do you like to be involved with?
Factions with ideals, cults especially! What do you like to do with your time in the game?
Stalk people who have an idea and spice their journey. I spend a good amount of time preparing areas for DM quests. What do you do outside of CoA? Do you play any other games?
Spontaneous trips with my friends, downhill skiing, beach volley, sports, some scuba diving and sailing too. I do performance audio assembly and mix gigs especially during summers, during winters I mix records for amateur bands. I'm an upper secondary school student so studies limit my time.I'm not a fan of computer games. I don't have any other games and NWN I bought only because a friend of mine asked me to buy this game and join a server he plays, the server being CoA.
