Discord convo brought up there's a lot of lingo that can be very confusing to new players. So I'm providing a list, and encourage others to post ones I miss.
In no particular order:
FOIG = Find Out In Game / This is meant to be indicative of things that should be learned in-character rather than out-of-character which typically implies you would be spoiled and your experience ruined if not learned ingame.
IC = In-Character / Self explanatory, learning things IC and keeping them in it is part of roleplaying.
OOC = Out-Of-Character / Same as above, but relates to out-of-game and things such as Discord, an OOC chatroom.
FD = Full Damage / This refers to full damaging a player, killing them and preventing a respawn after 2 RL weeks. On FD, a player's entire inventory (except for nodrop items) will drop and can be collected by living player(s) nearby.
Fuguing = Dying / This is the term sometimes used when a player dies, whether or not it was in PVP or PVE.
ACOG = Autonomous Collective of Good / A derisive term used for a generalization of active good-aligned characters. Please don't use this, it's a horrible misconception!
Team [] = Similar to ACOG, but used to to describe any faction with mutual trait(s) such as Good, Evil, Crime, Religion. Less toxic than ACOG as a descriptor.
DNA = Do Not Afraid / A reference to someone who was a fearless player, but sadly not the best English-speaker. Used with some fondness, usually.
Whitelighting = Deleting a character from the Vault. / The ultimate way to remove a character from your available pool. Done via scripts in the fugue, or in extreme cases can be done through DM assistance.
FYSMT = Funny you should mention that. / Coined from the DM team's constant usage of the phrase when hinting that suggestions from the community were already planned for V6. Generally used to mean a suggestion is already under consideration by the DM team.
WYSIWYG = What You See Is What You Get / Mostly self explanatory. What you will see in game (visual effect, action, reaction, etc) is what you will get in the situation you are in and can act upon it accordingly.
(might need a better definition)Mob(s) = NPC Enemies, especially generic variety.
Backspawns = Mobs that spawn on the way out of the quest (very bad when all your spells are gone and you're limping back to the finish).
BBEG = Big Bad Evil Guy / The boss monster, particularly if they're really generic.
Quest Train = The running of several, usually but not always high level, quests in quick succession. / Much like an MMO, this is a player-led event (so to speak) to help lower level characters and/or newer players catch up to higher level players.
Bane Train = Same thing as Quest Train. / Just a nickname for when a player named Citizen Bane conducts a quest train, and a popular train at that.
-
DNA = Do Not Afraid. A reference to someone who was a fearless player, but sadly not the best English-speaker. Used with some fondness, usually.
Whitelighting = Deleting a character from the Vault.

Keep them coming, I'll edit in as they come.

@captainfantastic I said USUALLY

When people mentioned the Bane train I thought they were talking about my Banite quest train..
I also think the A in ACOG is anonymous, Autonomous sounds really strange.

It's the former. Anonymous makes no sense.
-
@smilingdog it's autonomous because the implication is they all act as one without regard given to God, Alignment or personality
-
I always thought it was anonymous cause i never heard of the player trying to kill me :)
-
Tgtbt - Too good to be true.
Usually used in reference when one finds an item, tool, or mechanic IG that is extremely more powerful or valuable than common sense would dictate. Please report these things to a DM if you think you find any.
-
Dobbying = Using a (usually hilarious) unusual method of defeating a boss, or boss-like NPC in an event or quest. Comes from Dobby using a Heal scroll (before the changes) on an undead giant, doing 1500+ damage while the DM was possessing it.
-
Throwing Airships: Airships is a term used for describing scenarios, often chaotic, where people go off the rails, trying to take down a big NPC boss or DM Faction. Coined by Moloch, to describe how I often go bananas in some all in, crazy plan to create changes on the server.
