Toussaint seeks information on legendary weapons
-
With all the pomp and grace of Toussaint Avantageux entering any particular venue, he makes his entrance to the library.
Having recently noted that even though he's done his best to make it presentable - a mace is just not the right Look for him, Toussaint spends close to an hour looking through "W" for Weapons and "L" for "Legendary Weapons", preferably those that are said to require some outlandishly fairytale-like quest or sojourn so that it might have a story associated with it. When he finds very little, to his great chagrin, he makes his inquiry at the librarian. And anyone else who happens to look knowledgeable on such matters, really.
The message is roughly as follows, perhaps with a few more embellishments of his own character:
"I shalt undertake a quest for a weapon of great power and prestige, so that I might be the bearer of an artifact fitting for the Errant of Sune, the Knight of Hearts."
He is looking for scraps of information, clues, and age-old wives' tales to get him started. Proper storybook-knight style.
-
The librarian tells him that the library isn't setup in alphabetical order. He suggests that he searches and tries reading a few damned books since there are references in there he is after if he could be arsed to read something all the way through.
-
_Baltasar, the Lion of Amn, nearly ever-present within the Library, either making maps or reading the many volumes of tomes, catches the attention of Toussaint when possible.
"I've heard legend of a longsword made from enchanted ruby, the deepest shade of red and truly an artefact of Sune, it's said to fill the hearts of those that carry it love for everything that is capable of love. I heard that it's fallen into the clutches of gem-hoarding Duergar somewhere in the Underdark, however."
With his short tale given, he returns to his map-making._

Being entirely unable to find anything about the following items of interest, Toussaint, again, calls upon the aid of the librarian.
He asks of a weapon known as Heartwarder, which would have been wielded by a champion of Lady Firehair, Sune, by the name of Sir Gerrick Vastiir.
-
*Taking a pause from her work, Scholar Ru informs him that there is currently no information on a weapon called the Heartwarder, nor any reference to Sir Gerrick Vastiir. She lets hims know she will look with the other librarians to see if any of them remember anything on these two specific names.
She tells him, however, that there once stood a shrine of Sune in eastern Arabel, that was unfortunately destroyed during the Goblin War. He may be able to find some of its lost artefacts, and perhaps knowledge of this weapon, by exploring the region and finding bandits and goblin lairs, or any other dungeons where the artefacts may have been hidden after the shrine's ruins were plundered.
With a slight frown on her delicate brow, she also informs him that it is said that Clar Banda's pilgrims have a habit of stealing relics of Sune, only to twist and manipulate them into objects of dread and loss. Should he find the lairs of her followers, he may find such, and perhaps clues to what he seeks.
Interestingly enough, as he is an Errant of Sune, perhaps he could bring her glory back to Arabel and forge his own weapon, seeing it blessed and consecrated in her name. Whichever path he decides to take, she lets him know that the library would reward him for the tale of his venture and for the knowledge he may find on it.*
