A few questions about deities
-
1. "Dead" deities. The COA wiki points many deities to an external website and some of these deities are listed as "Dead". I have no idea what this means for current players of tabletop because I don't play that, but does it make a difference for Arabel?
2. How hard is it to role-play worshipers of "Minor" and/or Racial deities? For instance, does it feel awkward to try and role-play these, with lots of strange questions from characters IC? Or does it seem hard for some other reasons like lack of popularity for those deities
3. Can you play a worshiper of a "Major" or "Minor" deity as any race other than Human? Are these only Human deities?
Thanks.

Anyone can worship any Major or minor deity of Faerun, regardless of race. Roleplaying something such as a cleric can be different in general as you have to stick close to your dogma. Sometimes this can lead to having to almost find excuses to include others, as your god might make you somewhat of a loner or hate a lot of the players on the server. As far as I know, the dead deities are Beshaba and Tymora. Any other deities on the CoA wiki should be playable with working domains and spells IG.

I can think of one recent - AMAZING - example where this should've been the case, but wasn't, because the player himself is Just That Awesome. There were no excuses, and nothing ever seemed forced. And I HATE this player because he's so much better at RP than I am. HATE. Also miss terribly.
If you have a "camera shy" diety, that doesn't mean you have to avoid other PCs, if lurking in the shadows all alone doesn't float your RP boat. You just aren't running around the server, telling everybody to drop that crap god they've been praying to and come worship at the seven feet of Haybale. This might be different for a cleric, or it might not, depending on how Haybale feels about having just any Arabellan Adventurer kissing his thirteen warty toes.

The page COA links to on Azuth lists him as dead, so I'm also wondering about this guy! Thanks
