Why I will support CoA.

Why is it that I am willing to support CoA? An army of faces I never see and voices I never hear? For starters, I see the members of this community come alive almost everyday, through character development, the slaying of an army of undead, the romantic interests of the ranger and wizard, the power hungry agent, the humble paladin who lops off his hand to save the city and many other deeds that tell me about the people behind the toons.
I hear them as well, through interactions IG, silly videos posted on IRC, hearing about the player's children or school. Understanding that these are people just like me, who work, play, love and hate just like I do. The community here is so astonishing because everyone participates. No matter how small or large the role is, we are all players in the drama that is CoA both IG and in RL.
Threads explode over topics that have been discussed a million times before but no one has shelved as "unimportant" or "meaningless". When I log onto the server, the forums or IRC I see people escaping the mind-numbing drudgery of 40+ hours a week at or school, or with kids, or working or struggling to be writers, or starting their own businesses. I see people just like me who want to have fun the best they know how, with imagination and flavorful text. Creating and enriching a world in which only a small portion of the story is told by a Dungeon Master. The rest is served up by all the players who scratch together what free time they have to make this world happen.
I take pride in CoA, it's players and it's Dungeon Masters because it is something I helped to create and help to maintain, whether through playing or financial donations, keeping track of bugs or drawing portraits for people we all do something. Now is the time for everyone to do something. We are here because we want to be here, not because we have to be.
Support Arabel the way you can. I will be sending my red-bull money every month. Maybe you can too, and if not, get in here and play your ass off and have fun! If you entertain that money bags player maybe they will donate enough for both of you!
Apologies in advance for the errors, I am not going to proof read this. Gotta get to work.

We appreciate the sentiment but there should be no, I repeat no notion going around that people who donate to CoA should have others going out of their way to make them have a good time.
There is no concept of having to donate, or have someone donate on your behalf to play here.
We want players who bring the awesome, that is it. Finito.
The only thing to take away from this thread is that you do not need to pay to play on CoA, and donating anything to the server does not entitle you to any perks. The two are seperate enterprises. We reward good players, we thank for donations. The two do not mix. Ever.

I certainly did not want to imply that donators are special and receive rewards. I never thought that. Sorry if it seemed that way. The only thing to take away from this thread is that these are reasons that I will support CoA.

You get free artwork from myself and Matriarch if you PM us after donating, I offer character artwork and Matriarch offer Heraldy :) It is not a IG benefit or as an ooc perk it is mainly getting an personalised product in return for the gesture of kindness, we are willing to work and offer our talent out to those who have a small or big penny to spare. But other than that, we do not want to be unfair to those who cannot afford to spare a penny. All we truly want in the end, is for every player to enjoy playing CoA and be part of an dynamic community!
