Tips&Informations about Plots

Hello guys, i was wondering if you have any advices for me of how to build a good concept and have fun with it.
Also, let's say there is a soldier of Arabel, who wishes to raise an army and overthrow the current Lord "X", can this achieved IG? Or it is too ambitious? (Just an example)
Can anything be achieved, or there are limits at what one can accomplish?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I'm going to say one thing. It's not the achievement that matters, it's the tale of how you got there…fail or succeed.

We had an assassinated leader before.
We had a PC who became an NPC leader of the city before.I bet it isn't easy though.

Yeah, but can anyone achieve a higher rank or position and stick with it, while he tries to entertain other PC's and stick to the story? Let's say, if i manage my character to become a Crime-Lord in the Old' Town and lead the gang there, why it should turn to an NPC? :/ well, i get the "abuse of power" or responsibility that might come, but i guess most of the player's here are veterans, or came back after a really-long time of absence and that might not be a problem…
I always wondered, why one cannot become a Lord, a King, a General of the city's army and keep going with his story and duties?

I'd say you can, but I know not the actual answer, best ask a DM, really.

Its more a question for the Ask a DM forum we have.
However, you can become a crime lord if you get through all the hoops. Lord and general are all feasible too. Becoming King…well, theoretically you could. However, you'ld have to successfully defeat King Azoun V and his armies and all his allies. That would be pretty epic.

You could try to masquerade as him. :P

heh, i see. Well anything is possible then with some good RP, good plotting and the help of the DM's! :P
Thanks guys, this was helpful at some point!
