- The bastard elder son of House Veltrin, Kray never met Lord Veltrin. Raised by his mother,they lived in East Arabel until House Veltrin began to run out of money and stopped payments. They moved into the Slums, where mother took up an older profession. Murdered by one of her clients, Kray tried to seek out his father. Outside the House, he was beaten and turned away. An angry teenager, and a poor fit at the Temple of Ilmater, he took up holy orders after overhearing a Doombringer preaching. He has recently returned to the city.
I) Criminals in Arabel. They killed his mother. They made life hell for him.
a) Start or join a Vigilante Group, that will seek out and attempt to properly punish criminals.
b) Be appointed as a Judge or a Sheriff, implement Beatings, Scourging, Hefty Fines and Public Shaming. "The Walk of Shame" Where a criminal is led naked through the city and scourged, will be the new standard.II) Kragus wants revenge against House Veltrin for the abandoning him.
a) Join House Veltrin as a Retainer or House Chaplain. Worm his way into the confidences of his Dear Brother.
b) Encourage House Veltrin to commit dangerous acts that will see its downfall. Necromancy, Criminal Activity, Demon-Summoning.
c) Trade and bargain for his Dear Brother to avoid any long-term prison, exile or death-sentence. Have him kicked out into the Slums, Poetic Justice.III) The Dogma of Hoar calls for Revenents to arise, to stalk those who killed them unjustly. Kraegus wishes to bring Fear to Arabel.
a) Locate the graves of some of the recently killed, and animate them as Revenants, as part of Hoar's Doctrine. Targets include Sybil Kane, Marati Sorril, and others.
b) Muster the Revenants to attack those who killed them, against the Shadow Cabal, High Herald Westar and the Mage's Guild.IV) Kraegus grew up damaged. His priestly training has tempered him, but he still seeks recognition and prestige.
a) Gain Recognition as a Kresswell Loyalist, persecute and weaken his enemies. Sabotage efforts of the Red Hart and Mage's Guild.
b) After Dear Brother has been implicated as a criminal, usurp his title as Lord Veltrin with the aid of Kresswell.
c) Become a force for terrible justice in Arabel, until Kresswell appoints him as Lord Justiciar.
d) Destroy the slums, utterly. It has been a plague on Arabel long enough. Its recent attacks on the rest of the city merits retaliation. It is time to turn it into a wasteland.- Strengths: Kraegus is cunning and a good plotter. His moral boundaries are very fluid. Weaknesses: His dogma as a Cleric of Hoar might force him to attack the his own allies. Has a weakness for gambling, something he is trying to curb. Needlessly cruel, yet also follows Hoar's Dogma of Rewarded Good with Good.

Dogma: Hoar charges his clergy to uphold true and fitting justice and to maintain the spirit of the law, not the letter of the law. Fitting recompense will always accrue for one's actions. Violence will meet violence and evil pay back evil, but good will also come to those who do good. One must be careful to walk the line of Hoar's teachings, to seek retribution, but to fall not into pursuing evil acts for evil's sake, for that way is seductive and leads only to one's downfall. Vengeance must be sought for all injustices, and all punishments must fit the crime. Revenge is sweetest when it is sharpened with irony. All attacks must be avenged. Those who do not respond to attacks against their person or that which they hold dead only invite future attacks.
Day-to-Day Activities: There are few actual temples of Hoar in the western Realms. Instead the Doombringer's priesthood is composed primarily of itinerant wanderers who travel from town to town agreeing to pray for Hoar's intercession on behalf of one who seeks or fears vengeance for some attack in exchange for a small fee. Charlatans masquerading as members of Hoar's clergy or priests who neglect the prayers they have promised to make receive a fitting punishment by Hoar's hand.
In addition, Hoar's clergy seek out victims of injustice, hear their stories, evaluate the veracity of their accounts, and track down the perpetrators in order to inflict a fitting punishment meted out. Actions of this type have caused most town watches and Tyrists to brand priests of the Doombringer as vigilantes and raised the stature of the priesthood to that of champion of the downtroddon and underdogs in the eyes of the common folk.

A war waged by committee is a war already lost
*She unrolls a scroll of weathered parchment with beautiful caligraphy. It shows the descent of House Obaskyr, and unrolls easily till it touches the floor.
House Obaskyr is known to all who dwell in these lands, and while the line is failing, and Cormyr grows weak, few doubt that the House was once, and perhaps still is, the greatest line of Nobility in Faerun.
From its origins as a mercenary company in Impiltur, to Ondeth Obaskyr, to King Faerlthann, to the Steel Regent and her ward, King Foril, few people can doubt that they kept peace and honor to this land which only failed in recent times due to the machinations of Cormyr's enemies.
Siamorphe says that Nobles have a divine right to rule, so long as they do so with responsibility and with grace. They have a great obliigation to their subjects and they must do what is best for their people, even to their own personal detriment.
House Obaskyr is a great example of such. Something to understand, emulate, and aspire to. When at the end many people began to turn against them, it was because they had grown too distant from their subjects. It is therefore a learning lesson, of both the heights we can achieve, and our downfall if we do not work to maintain it.
She takes out a wooden bowl, the edge of the bowl has been worn smooth by the years, with one side higher than the other. It has cracked but recently, and there is a faint, barely perceivable outline of a pair of hands, bound with rope on the side.
There is an old saying, that Hope springs eternal. Lathander, of Blessed Renewal, reminds us always that in giving hope to others, you are not only aiding them now, but giving them the will to carry on, to have new ideas, and to become prosperous.
This bowl represents Hope. It has been used by hundreds of beggers who have come to the Soup Kitchen when they become hungry. If they did not eat from this bowl, they would have suffered terribly. Because they had this bowl, and could nourish themselves, many have grown up and become adventurers, joined the Militia, or become businessmen.
But there is also another thing. Lathander teaches us to guard ever against Pride, to always remember that you have room to grow and seek perfection, for we are all imperfect. Do not become set in your ways, do not grow accustomed to the nature of things. It is past time for the Soup Kitchen to close, for the people who depend on it to depend on themselves.
If poverty is a disease, we must stop treating the symptoms and try to cure it instead.

Hunt when hungry, and do not gorge without need. Waste nothing and all shall have plenty. The humble ant spends their day searching for food, and having found food, to bring it back to the hive. The worker ant works. The soldier ants guard. The Queen ant nurtures a new generation. Each is suited to his own line of speciality, and they cooperate with each other instinctively to shift objects a thousand times bigger than themselves. If there is nobility in the insect kingdom, surely the Ants are nobility, and each hive a Noble House unto themselves.When attacked by bigger creatures, the soldier ants act as one, overwhelming such enemies regardless of the losses, in order to ensure the survival of the worker ants and the hive. It does not matter if all the soldier ants die, so long as the hive survives. Is this not, at its most instrinctive level, nobility and sacrifice?

Sir James' livery has been mended and washed till it is a pristine white. The trailing edges of cloak and livery have also been waxed, so that dirt slides off rather than sticks. His armor reflects light like a mirror. The wax of his oath seals have been redaubed, the script written in beautiful calligraphy on flowing sheets of parchment.
she comes up the stairs bearing a tray laden with tarts. Ribbed, shortcrust pastry baked to crispy perfection, it is filled in with rich and creamy custard and topped with a layering of fruits. Peaches, blueberries, strawberries and elderberries.
She lays out the tray and sets out the silverware and napkins, setting down two steins of ice-cold apple cider. The tarts each have a faint aroma of nugmeg and cinnamon with each bite.
She comes back holding a tray with two plates on it. Sliced roast beef atop Suzailian Bread Rounds, served with a creamy horseradish sauce, spinach doused in olive oil and lemon juice, sprinkled with toasted almonds and garnished with chilled double-boiled apricots.

The Rabble Rousing Speech of Aelirenn Alenuath of the Vestavakhar, Founder of the Lighthouse, betrayed by the Red Hart
This story begins in the Sheriffs. With Mergyth Cassiel, Commissioner of the Sheriffs.
He bought his position with gold, as the Sembian financier for Gondegal and leader of the Fivestar Cartel, he had the largest share in Arabel's invasion during the Phoenix Rebellion.
There was a man called Helmar Bloodchurn. Helmar was the High Priest of the Beastlord, a fearsome man who led the Red Moon, a Cult dedicated to the Beastlord.
Cassiel personally recruited Helmar into the Sheriffs, honoring him with rank, and stewardship over the Hullack.
The Red Moon hunted and slew every Tel'Quessir they could lay their hands on, sacrificing some unfortunates on alters.
They were never punished. Nor even troubled by the law. They were the law, granted such rights now held by the Varlet Inquisition, a band of murderers and thieves who were given a second chance by Venieth of the Hullack Kingdom.
They unleashed also the beast known as Bloodclaw, who massacred countless innocent lives.
How many Tel'Quessir they killed I do not know, but it was this way that Cassiel exercised dominion over the Hullack, seeking to clear out its population of Elves.
The Red Moon were the first, but not the last
In one battle against the Grodd, Cassiel took his Sheriffs and committed treason, abandoning Arabel and taking and fortifying East Way, proclaiming himself King.
The Grodd walked in the unguarded East Gates and massacred all they encountered. Gates abandoned by the Sheriffs.
The Ironshield Clan, a band of dwarves led by Gragnar Ironshield, found service with Cassiel
They hewed down many acres of trees, and killed any Tel'Quessir they found on their "territory"
These crimes were completely ignored by the authorities.
Eight months ago, shortly before Cassiel was assasinated, I discovered a stunning secret.
My spies reported that Cassiel had been channeling vast sums of money into a project in the HullackIt was known only as Darkthore.
Subsequent investigation led the Tel'Quessir to believe that Cassiel was reforming the Lycan packs into a single, lean killing force, by anointing a new leader.
When Cassiel became the Headless King, the money dried up
Darkthore attacked East Way with his werewolves, who were beaten back and slain
The threat subsided. Unable to find Darkthore, we waited.

The Cult of Slime.
Crispin was a senior member of the group.

The Tel'Quessir battled the Cult, and failed again and again to defeat it.
To my greatest regret, I once had defeated the entire cult, long before they attained their power.
I had them at my mercy, and I let them go.
I erred. And thousands died.
I erred. And all who followed me perished.
She draws back the hood of her cloak with both hands before pulling the scarf down to her neck.
Her right ear, or lack of one, instantly catches the eye. A raw, jagged edge of flesh about a puckered hole is all that remains
I bear the wounds of defeat. Because it reminds me that eight more of my kinsmen bore it with me. And now I am the only one of that number that yet breathe.
The Tel Quessir helped the Red Hart find the Staff of Ilmater. It was our eyes and ears that helped them in their quest
We marched on Castle Crag with the Red hart, the Mage's Guild, and the Purple Dragons.
Kreswell stole the Staff, the only weapon that could have defeated Nalavarauthatoryl - the Devil Dragon
We were massacred without that weapon.
The Red Harts went to war with the Hullack Kingdom over the staff, but Nalavarauthatoryl flew over, and breathed fire, killing nearly every single Red Hart on the battlefield
Nalavarauthatoryl flew to Arabel, and Kreswell gave Venieth the Staff, and bade her to ride to Arabel with her army
Myrmheen Lhal fought Nalavarauthatoryl, to no avail
Her arm was bitten off, and a handful of survivors from the battle whisked her away to safety in Eveningstar, unconcious
Venieth appeared, the Staff in hand, and in a burst of light, the Devil Dragon was defeated.
But….not dead.
You see, the Staff of Ilmater follows Ilmater's creed: "Suffer in his name, and be rewarded"
The Staff of Ilmater can kill the devil dragon, but its wielder must sacrifice their life to do so. Neither Kreswell nor Venieth were willing.
And so, Nalavarauthatoryl lives, and Venieth is Queen of Arabel.
But there is something else. Another plot. Another treason.
You see, Xzavian is no mere mage.
He is a highly skilled Infernalist.
He made a pact with a Pit Fiend, who attacked and disabled Veneith.

Lord Erec Calthorpe-Oswulf of the Earldom of Gallteith. An Everwatch Knight and Warden of the Doors to Beldarn Truesilver.
A young lord from Teziir(large city state, 40,000 pop. Many illegal services, large transient and camp population, like Deadwood) Erec, like many young nobles in Helmite Teziir, a member of the Watchknights. Falling into the clutches of a Doomsday Cult predicted that the world would end in shadow, he sells his lands and properties to help fund a Crusade of men that marched to aid Cormyr during the Cormyr-Shadowvar War.Taken by surprise a few miles north of Proskur, the Crusade was slaughtered by the Shadowvar, who saw fit to keep a few ranking prisoners for interrogation. As an officer in the Crusade, Erec was only recently released by the terms of the Peace Treaty. Too embarrassed to return home since was very open in his beliefd the world was about to end (and it didn't), and destitute from the cost of equipping a small army, he has arrived in Arabel to redeem himself and seek a new fortune and is currently a guest of the Crown, with some limited benefits afforded to a "friend" of the Crown of Cormyr.
Lord Lamir Fezznick has taken an interest in Erec, and has taken to sponsoring his entry into Arabellian society.
Erec is not greedy as the word is used, more like….desperate.
He comes from Teziir, which is a merchant trade town, Money means everything, Money means honor, it means glory, it means life, it means power1. Lord Erec will seek sponsors from amongst the noble houses of Arabel. He will approach the PCs in each faction with an open hat and see who will act as his sponsor, then work to gain favor and recognition
2. Erec will likely pick the Drow as his chosen enemy, recruiting adventurers to aid him in a ruthless and rather bloody purge of the drow, in the hopes of acquiring treasure and wealth. He will use any means at his disposal, except outright illegal methods
3. He may seek to acquire weapons from Sembia, which has a history of fighting elves. This might bring him into conflict with conflict with elves and druids
4. His tactics will likely stir up protests from CoF and maybe some Houses, because of their destructive nature

Outline of Authority and Powers
1. Lord Marshall Caleb Beren of the Knightly Order of the Red Hart will be appointed Head of the Queen's Army, as well as Military Advisor to the Queen. The Red Hart will serve as the Queen's direct branch of the army under him.
2. The Red Hart will have authority in the City of Arabel in legal or criminal matters extending only to the prevention of murders and assaults of any nature, and the apprehension of capital offenders if the opportunity arises. In addition, the Red Hart will have authority on all crimes committed within twenty feet of the walls of the City of Arabel, as well as the Fortress of the Red Hart, being granted the right to arrest, hold trials and sentence for crimes up to serious nature. Any crimes committed within the Fortress of the Red Hart or the Red Hart Manor will be subject to the Justice of the Red Hart without limit. Crimes of capital severity, will be trialled and sentenced by Lhal's court.
3. Throughout the Free State of Arabel, the Red Harts will have all the rights of Peace Officials. Their authrority is subject to the governance of Lhal's court.
4. All members of the Red Hart of Knight Errant rank and above will be considered City Officials.
5. The Red Hart receives the right to fortify or construct fortifications as they see fit. Also, the Red Hart receives the right to commandeer existing buildings for defensive purposes during times of war, or a state of emergency. The Palace and all Royal properties or locations defined by Lhal's court are exempt.
6. Members of the Knightly Order of the Red Hart, of the rank of Knight Errant and above, enjoy certain exceptions under the Law. These are detailed below in full.
- In the event of corruption, or criminal activity, on the part of a Red Hart, the following procedure is to be followed:
In cases of petty to serious crimes, the sheriffs retain their right to arrest the Red Hart provided they have a signed document of approval by a Herald, Everwatch Knight, or the Queen. If, however, the crime is of capital severity, only an Everwatch Knight or Herald can serve as the arresting officer for a Red Hart ranked Knight Errant or above, and they may only be arrested if the evidence gathered by other agences (e.g. the Sheriffs) sufficiently and legally confirms the act of wrongdoing in the eyes of the Queen's Court. In such a case the accused will be held within the Red Hart Fortress until their trial hearing, as opposed to within the Sheriff's Tower.
The sole exception to this is: An ongoing situation involving Armed Assault, Magical Assault, Torture, Abduction, Defiling the Dead, Murder, Attempted Murder, or Arson is taking place, and because of the urgent nature of the crime it is not possible to get the needed written authorization without putting the citizenry at risk.
In such a case both Lhal's Court and the Knightly Order of the Red Hart are to be immediately notified of the arrest, and the detained Red Hart is to be transferred to the Red Hart Fortress at the first opportunity.
Obligations of the Knightly Order of the Red Hart
-The Knightly Order of the Red Hart to be exempt from any and all taxes towards the Free-State of Arabel in return for maintaining the security and defense of the Free State, maintaining the walls, and providing security as requested by Lhal's court.

I'm not actually sure what the point of this post is. I'm not sure either that posting successful apps "in vitro" will necessarily give the people the right idea. As Moloch posted here, there's a significant portion in the app-approval process that has little to do with what's typed up.
Knowing what sort of characters you play helps us figure out if you'll enjoy the app character (because if you don't, hell if anyone else is likely to) or if you're just trying to second-guess what we want to hear.
Knowing what you've done before helps us gauge if your goals are reasonable. If you've never committed crime more than buying some bloodstones and suddenly say you want to become Arabel's top assassin, we'd be a bit dubious. We have in the past asked people to play non-app criminals/whatever to show that they can handle all that comes with such concepts. Conversely, the opposite is also true.
IG activity also greases the wheels like nobody's business, and EiG apps are sometimes little more than a formality.
