Neverwinter
-
Has proven "mildly" addictive for a full day now. The lack of roleplay though is terrible, and the Foundry that let's you make new quests has some very lacking utility.
All the same, if anyone else is trying this out I'm playing on the Beholder shard with a character named Oroborous on the account mrmoloch so look me up. I have a real desire to port the Ashby quest over to Neverwinter just for shits and giggles.
-
If you port that quest, I'll play it. We started playing it quite alot then just quit due to the lack of "end game anything" But I really enjoyed it.
-
Yeah…already had this going with the typical CoA gamers about...when the game actually came out 4 or so months ago. We played, exploited foundary, made loads of money, got level 60 characters in a day, cybored in the moonstone mask, then stop playing all in under 2 weeks...
-
:( i missed the cyboring? damnit..
-
Do you have to pay to play it, like a subscription?
-
Neverwinter is completely free.
-
Oh wow, cool.
Might have a cheeky dabble.
-
there are certain perks you have to pay for though. Not sure if they are only visual.
-
Around the point where you actually want to beat some end dungeons is where you may be tempted to buy astral diamonds. But you probably won't get anywhere near. The combat in this game is probably the best in the MMO genre. Very satisfying…but it being an MMO.......well you know how that goes.
-
Yeah, thats the feeling I got when playing neverwinter. The combat was the funnest. BUUUUUUUT its an mmo….
-
so you had to press 1,2,1,1,1,3. instead of 1,5,2,5,6,2,3,4,4? Sounds way better.

Your better off with RIFT imho which have roleplaying server plus the ability to build your own dimensions. Its free to play too
