Forgotten Realms novels recommendations
-
So im reading the second book in the haunted lands saga and am wondering if there are any other newer forgotten realms novels worth reading, the last ones I read were the Avatar Trilogy and its follow ups and the Drizzt books up till the thousand orcs one where I kinda lost interest.
Any of you guys and gals read forgotten realms novels (and any other new decent fantasy stuff) and if so do you have any recommendations?

I…like you stopped at where the Drizzt books became shit...
I did however think the War of the Spider Queen series was pretty good. Bascially since while a continous book saga, each was written by a different author. Which I think kept it from being stale and predictable due to differing writing styles. Pretty Legit.

Anything by Paul S. Kemp, the Last Mythal isn't bad, Rise of the Archwizards is really weird and wasn't my cup of tea, uh…
If you want to see a noir take on being a paladin, Erik de Bie or something has a 4E series set in Waterdeep and Luskan.

Just make sure not to read any of the elminster novels by Ed Greenwood. The guy can make a good setting but he can't write novels worth shit.

Same thing was asked a while ago, might fight something there:

The ones that seem to end up on this list a lot that I havent read are the Erevis Cale Trilogy and Twilight War Trilogy. Im a bit hesitant to start reading them purely because I dont particularly like Mask as a god. Might look them out after im finished the last book in the Haunted Lands trilogy.
