Geography of cormyr
-
Hi,
there was just a military briefing held by a PD NPC in the guildhall.
Could someone link me good maps, write 2 sentence descriptions about the mentioned places/neighbouring countries, so give me a brief lesson about Cormyr and the environments? Thanks!

This is a map I made for Arabel. -

This is the MEGA map. Too big to post here. -
Your best bet is to google a map of faerun, to see where Arabel stands in relation to the Empire, the Dalelands and other border kingdoms, and the briefing will make more sense to you.
The map of cormyr is great too, as it'll show you the small towns / details mentioned.

Ignore Jadeth's first map, it's from 4E. Some geographical features changed a lot after Spellplague. :)
-
The spellplague never happened in CoA, dude…
-
This also isn't 1400 + DR in CoA.
But he's right, the first map is not the one we use for CoA, either. Some of those geographical features (outside of the stormhorns) aren't there in 3e. Interior Cormyr is fairly accurate.
The most visible one, as you can see, is that desert north of the stormhorns is now a grassy plain, transformed by Shadovar magic after the spellplague.
-
See, Shadovar are the good guys, they're improving the environment in the desert, finding jobs for the Bedine, you should join with them and help.

lulz

The shadovar are socialists that want to take away your guns and raise your taxes. Stick with the freedom Cormyr grants you to be fat, stupid, and carrying your oversized weapon that you use to compensate for other short comings.
