Anton Requiem visits the Library
-
- mouth agape at the sheer number of stacks and shelves, I wander a while before aproaching the librarian. I stumble across the shelves with literature on dragons, and peruse the volume named "Draconomicon Volume I", drawn in particular to Red Dragon…I am disapointed with the dearth of info in so large a book. It mostly seems geared to a person looking to summon a dragon to serve them. Dragons should not serve. Anyone. I don't know why I feel so strongly about that. Never even thought of dragons untillI saw this book. I will be back to further explore this shelve.*
"Sir", I ask the librarian, Do you have birth records for anyone from 2 generations ago named Anton? or perhaps some book on an adventurer by that name? My only clue is this scale..."
I show him the reptillian scale that my parents left with me when they abandoned me to the Black Tiger clan. I do NOT release it from my grip, however.

thoughts of Anton Requiem –Well, the librarian thus far is not much help, but he does seem interested in the challenge I presented to him. I continue to peruse the shelves on dragon lore, but I am overwhelmed at the sheer volume of books here. I do not know why I'm drawn to these books. There are a number that speak of battles with dragons, in which the dragons were slain. The stories are one sided it seems to me, as are all such books written solely by victors…
Why am I so angered by this? Surely, it is just to kill that which kills, to protect ones own from harm? If a wolf attack a sheep herders flock should he not hunt it down to protect his flock?
I believe I shall keep these thoughts to myself, and not share them with anyone. after all, Im not as strong as some, but I am smarter than most. Smart enough, any way, to know these are not the thoughts to share with your friends, or enemies for that matter.---
