New and confused

hey guys, love the server
played here for a day or two…
wonder if anyone can point me to a link for all the class and feat changes and general odds and sods. love how difficult it is but a bit frustrating a times :)
-
Hay! Welcome :D
-
Most changes are applied to pure classes only. You can Use the wiki:
http://coa.wikia.com/wiki/City_of_Arabel_Wiki
The forum (this one has all changes to pure classs):
Feel free to ask via PM and forum threads. You can also join the IRC channels (#coa and #coacharacters)
The AI is curently under modification, so there are a few issues to solve. Sometimes it can be very tough, but don't let that put you down. You can always ask for help for mechanics too.
Also, welcome to the server! :D
-
ah yes i got mot of that information in agme on the road to arabel, can you tell me more about druids and their animal companions (for example) i suspect the above list is not a complete listing of changes :P
-
Welcome to CoA :)
-
Oh no! Not another noob! What the hell are we going to do? We seem to keep attracting new players despite all our efforts! DMs! I Charge you! Work harder or we'll see the server gaining 55/55 again, and soon!
er… Welcome

Ok, Druids:
Druids have to chose a valid deity: http://coa.wikia.com/wiki/Druid_Deity_list or you'll get spell failure.
Druids can't use metal armor, unless you chose Mielikki, and even so, you'll be restricted to meduim armor too.
Druids don't get animal companion at level 1, like in single player, you'll have to find one in game, and tame it. If you use the "animal companion" buttom, it will display an error message with the commands you'll have to use. (I think its .companiontame or something like that). The more level you have, the more powerful animal you can tame and use as companion (you can't have a dire wolf from level one, even if you are able to Animal Empathy it).
If you still have doubt, shoot me a tell while I'm IG (account name Bilungada, currently playing Marcel Beauthierry and Sophia), or join CoA's irc channel.
(If you are new to RP, or new to Forgotten Realms, you should also take a look at some threads about druids, since they have some particularities - I can point o some of them).

if your new save yourself the adiction and leave. the best advice you'll ever ignore you'll realise it later.
be aware of overpowerd spawn everywhere and good luck laddie
-
hehe hehehh ehehehehehhhh HAHHAHAHA. rubs hands together
I have plans. For you.
WELCOME
-
The precise .command for taming a companion is in the player resource forum AND the wiki, so you should have no trouble finding it.
Welcome, and try to wreak some havoc.
-
.compantame if you're near a tameable animal and within the right level range for it will allow you to tame it.
.compansum will let you summon it once you've tamed it.That said, welcome!

Why is every post by Abby some sarcastic remark to the playerbase?
Welcome to CoA!

@Giba:
…

...This inaccurate. Yes, druids cannot use metal armor unless they follow Mielikki and cannot use any other weapon other then the druidic ones plus their Deity's favored weapon. They are not, however, restricted to medium armor. There are special heavy armors made for druids out there like, for example, the wooden full plate. Of course, you will need the feat to use them.
You will find a lot of interesting information in the Player Resource forums: /category/19
And of course, in the announcement forums (read at least the announcement threads and eventually, the stickies): /category/3 -
http://www.nj-pbem.com/adnd/tsr2150-Com ... ndbook.pdf
Not all of this is canon, but it'll point you in the right direction.
-
I think he was refering to Mielikki druids are limited to metal medium armor, they can not wear heavy metal armor
There is non-metal heavy armor that a druid can wear though

Eggxactly, think I wasn't completely clear, but that is what I meant. Thank you for clarifying this, anyway. ;)
