  How about that base I was talking about actually work a bit differently. So - there is a base somewhere (could be inside or outside the city) If a faction gains it (likely by first place in prestige) they can now access a chest/NPC outside of the base, who gives them keys for it. This would mean that that faction can if they want, use it themselves, OR, they can grant it to another faction (player or otherwise) I feel like this has the best of both, it allows the original idea of a faction gaining an extra base, or, allows them to sponsor another faction. If that faction then lose the base to another faction, the locks will get changed, so, the sponsored faction have a vested interest to keep the main faction "in power" as well.

However, I feel like it would be possible to have illithids that are background, and essentially, not ever actually used/found out about until the end of a factions story without requiring the underdark to be fully built. Even if the faction did end and we didn't have the entire underdark, we could just use a ZOA :caves of some kind, to run whatever event was needed.

  Yeah, this would be a bit to sparse to decide on right now based purely on this post. However, I will say I like the general gist of three factions which are fairly clear on what they are, and also that those three fit my own personal bias of fighter/thief/mage

  It'll just be a loot thing I suspect. Can't really be lopsided on levels with level 10 being the max. Also, yeah, I think this is something to vote on much later, when we have pretty much everything in place.
