@bowser Yeah... that's fair on that first point... hilarious that it even happened though.
Glad the conversation is happening, at least
An avid gamer, I've put my focus into PC gaming since early 2013. Currently playing CS:GO, PUBG, HotS and a few more in-between.
Feel free to find me on the various platforms -

@Bowser giving those privates a nudge nudge "switch it up a little", "keep this in mind", is a much better option than locking a position behind an app
Edit: On my first arrest on Phil, I had a DM pop up on a Militia Private, and he went "The beatings probably enough, no need to fine/stocks/etc", got the message across nice and easily
I'm burnt out. Little other way to put it. RP has its moments, ones that can't be compared to anything else, but questing, conflict, intrigue, adventuring... I've lost the roaring inferno of a passion I had for it. There's a lot of me being bored inbetween the parts I find fun, and, that just leaves me logging off annoyed that I even logged in in the first place.
Sooooooo... I'm going to do my best to find something else to distract me all day. Few days, a week, two- Not sure. I say this everytime so that no one can make the joke before I can: Knowing me, I'll log in about an hour from this post.
Maybe if I think of something fresh I might try that, I'm sure a new PC, Build and Character could reignite the fire I had for CoA some more. But, I've nothing I want to play right now apart from builds, with no characters or ideas behind them.
@latoksinned You know where the explosives are, good luck.

So- Arkhams events, compared to yours? :P
@khamal
I think there's a balance to be had in buffing because they want to kill you, and always having buffs.
For me, the problem lies in that, you often can't not have a base of Animals, Bark and Shield, and I don't think buffs should be a baseline, I think they should be a bonus you need because it's tough, not a baseline where stoneskin/displacement/haste is the bonus. Maybe that's not the experience you've had, but it is for some of us, so we're bringing it up- Maybe we don't have a fix, but that's why we brought it up - Let's... discuss it, get everyone's thoughts and see if there's a change that should be kept in mind for V6.
As for the whining, there's a difference between "Hey, let's try to be more specific so I can help more, yeah?" and "Why aren't you being more specific. I can't help if you're not." I'm just trying to point that out as friendly as I can so that this thread doesn't dissolve into a flat out argument. Moloch isn't at fault, I don't blame him for being frustrated, but I still think it's important to point out.
It's in the tone and delivery, in the wording - You can say the same thing without coming off in a negative light.
I don't know Moloch- I'm not a DM, I'm not a Game Designer, I'm a player. And... I didn't bring up these points to start with, just clarifying on what Vagabond said because you didn't seem to quite get it. I'm really not the person to ask on how to fix the issues, since I don't have enough experience compared to the rest of these folks who've been around almost as long as I've lived. But there's nothing wrong with us pointing out an issue, and then talking over solutions as a group, instead of a ten paragraph post on whats wrong and how you fix it, without any community input in the post.
As for Monument- It gives good loot, usually +1 Armor and Shields with Acid 5/-. It also gives really good XP, since it's a 5-12. You can go in 5 and come out 7 if you hide behind the higher levels carrying you.
It's difficult, especially with Drow Mages and Assassins in Part Two. And it falls into the mandatory buffs problem - While possible, you won't want to do this quest without Acid 5/-, Blurs and a few Clarity potions for the first part..
And Moloch, don't take this as an attack, please, because it isn't one - I often find your tone in this discussions... it's accusatory, frustrated - It often seems like you're pointing fingers at players when they bring up an issue, simply because they don't provide every detail on what the issue is, and exactly how to fix it - This isn't a suggestion thread, this is a discussion thread - It's back and forth, we talk, you listen, you ask, we answer, repeat. But when you get defensive without getting attacked, things quickly turn into an argument instead of a discussion.
I can't imagine the stress and frustration that comes with being in your position, but please, for everyone's sake, try to not let it get to you in these types of threads. Much love, Phil
By buffs being mandatory, he means that you cannot do a quest without Animals, Bark and Shield at some point. Minimum. Well, some builds can, but a lot can't. And, because of this need to be barked and shielded so you're not drinking healing potions like you've got an addiction, people rush the quests, because if they don't, and slow down / stop to RP, their buffs run out and it gets even more expensive.
